  1. I like the colors on that Voodoo 17 but I don't actually have a copy.
  2. Since Ditko's other creations have made billions of dollars for Disney/Marvel, how long before we look more closely at these creations for Charlton.
  3. I have been adding to the stack of Detectives for a while and not posting. Here are a few that were too old to be in the silver box.
  4. The original art looks pretty good. It isn't mine but maybe someone owns this that posts on the boards.
  5. I like those...can you scan them all separately and repost?
  6. I thought the earliest strip was in 1940 but all the articles say the strip started in 1939. Isn't this one a promo for the strip.
  7. The Superman vs Giant Robots is my favorite story in the Sunday pages. You can usually find someone selling Sunday pages on ebay. Price isn't super high because the print run was super high. Signed pages or original art usually sell for a lot more, especially the art. I don't think Schuster drew any of the later pages. This story seems to be exclusive to the Sunday pages although a panel was used for the cover of Action 36. The adventure started with the October 20 or 27, 1940 Sunday page and ended a couple of months later.
  8. I could use an interior for Action 182 Flame 3 Charlie Chan 4 Felix fc 15 Slam Bang 6 I could use a cover for Detective 51 and 59 A lot of Action and Detective comics All Star 6 All Star 19 and a bunch more.
  9. I saw a post by Jon in the Planet thread and wondered whether it was a recreation in color. I kind of like it with a little color but wonder if it is by the original artist.
  10. A few more relatively new ones in a mix with the Captain Aero comics. OK, you got me. I'm just too lazy to find the group shot thread.
  11. I don't think the painting was used for cards. So far I have no reference to its use. It looks a little like a combination of a Planet cover and a gum card.
  12. I've noticed the guys in Texas (My Comic Shop, I think) are asking 90% of the good price for coverless comics. I think they are anticipating someone completing a copy like you did. I suppose they are buying at 50% of good and trying to double or triple the price. They tend to lower the price occasionally. I don't think the market for DC and Nedor is as good as Timely.
  13. The next box was filled with Planets, Real Life and Picture News.
  14. These are also in the box with the Spirits and Sensation comics.
  15. I have updated the Spirit collection several times and not posted. I sold a really nice batch to Dave's American but replaced most of them and added a few Quality and Fiction House issues.
  16. I like that group of cards so much that I had to buy one full size painting.
  17. More Fun to More Fun or white ghost to white lab jacket. I had to fake this one but I thought the coat should be white since he is in the lab...
  18. I always think of that cover as his 25th anniversary cover. It is similar to the early Experimenter cover.
  19. Winged to Wings I saw a movie named "Mosquito Squadron" on TV the other day. It is nice to see those little airplanes in action. I am always amazed that the Rolls Royce Merlin engines didn't fly away and leave the plywood frame behind.
  20. ...and notice they are wearing gloves to protect the comic. I guess they were born to be comic book collectors and not piano movers.
  21. I do like those More Fun issues that someone posted. I can't get enough of those.
