  1. This painting by Goodan also reminds me of work by Harmon. I think Goodan drew all of the Fawcett covers and he usually signed the interior art but I didn't check.
  2. Till Goodan drew the Sunday strip as well as the comics for Fawcett. He was considered a great western artist, like Remington.
  3. Wunder started drawing Terry at the end of 1946.

  9. At least she gets co-author credit for writing the screenplay of "The Empire Strikes Back"
  10. I enjoyed reading J.R. Williams daily cartoons. The lessons seem timeless or at least nostalgic. Over 300 cartoons by JR are available at Comic plus and the Digital Museum.
  11. Didn't Leigh Brackett write another famous story. At least the robots interaction was inspired by Edmond Hamilton's Captain Future series.
  12. Puzzles by Mac Raboy, I think, were too big for the puzzle box that I purchased on ebay.
  13. I lived in a paper mill town. The warehouses that stored the paper were as big as a football field and there were several. We were arrested once for taking remainder comics from the conveyer belt one Sunday afternoon. Here are some of the rescued remainders. Unfortunately they are all silver age. Most of the books were published in the fall of 1964.
  14. I am still looking for Lone Ranger covers but could use some Roy Rogers as well.
  15. I have a lot of coverless comics and a few extra covers. Below is a coverless copy with a fake cover.
  16. Here are a few splash pages with characters that are associated with Voight.
  17. Biography and picture from Feature Book 35.
  18. I found a daily with the evil-eye half whammy but no Sunday. Anyone got a copy of a Sunday Li'l Abner.
  19. I forgot to mention Myrna Loy who played the daughter of Fu Manchu, Mrs. Charles in the Thin Man Series and the girl that John Dillinger had to see in "Manhattan Melodrama".
  20. and this page works for old movie fans. It features The Durango Kid, Johnny Mack Brown and Linda Darnell who starred as Lolita in Zorro.
