  1. I don't think that is by Feldstein. He did the "Creekmore Curse" but Edvard Moritz did the cover.
  2. Bedbugs are a problem in the 2010s but not as bad as in the 1940s. Chesler comics contained a load of wonderful mad scientists.
  3. The book is recent but the cover isn't.
  4. I was a fan of the robot series by Binder (and also Asimov). I especially liked the early stories I read in Fantasy Illustrated.
  5. I used to watch Billy and his robot when Star Trek wasn't available anymore. I probably would have watched it even if Star Trek was still on but not in the same time slot.
  6. I only have one robot cover out of all of those Smash covers.
  7. I thought that was what you meant but I wanted to show that other non-Ace cover. I only found two more from Ace. He did a lot of covers for Amazing.
  8. There are a lot more science fiction covers by Schomburg. Check out Flickr. I saw at least a dozen more but you have to sort through a lot of other items to find them.
  9. I call this Schomburg's Dali Period. They are kind of surrealistic, I think.
  10. Haw! Selegue would love this one Hi Jack It was in the pile when I went to the BBQ. I'll have to read the story again. By the way, the cost of being a mad scientist has gone up since the 1940s. I don't think I can afford comics and a home lab too (even if I get an idea to generate a good monster). However, a giant tardigrade may be a pretty good idea.
  11. Nice. I like those Quality Spirit comics.
  12. Your copy has the brighter covers which would seem to be the intended color highlights.
  13. Wow, that is a lot of Tracy comics. I picked up a bunch from Wally and added the Big Big Books, BLB and issue 1. I am not sure where Wally got the Feature Books. I guess everything passes through the flea market eventually.
  14. Flash Gordon in the comics is fun to read but the full size pages help you appreciate Raymond's art.
  15. I enjoyed reading Dennis when I was younger but enjoyed it less after I became a parent. Little Archie is still a favorite but a few jelly beans are not enough to buy near mint copies of the early giant editions.
  16. I am a fan of those caveman stories. I especially like Hamlin's Alley Oop and Kubert's Tor.
  17. 1-MacGyver 2-Mickey Jagger 3-Doug Kenney and Robert Hoffman 4-Nimoy and Shatner 5-Stafford Repp aka Sgt O'Hara 6-Jack Nicholson and Anjelica Houston and Michelle Phillips 7-Lucas 8-Cast of Magnum, PI (Tom, John, Roger and Larry) 9-Sid Vicious 10-Siskel and Ebert 11-Spielberg 12-Phyllis Diller 13-X-Files cast 14-Jimi Hendrix 15-Weird Al 16-Dana Carvey and Phil Hartman My final guess, I guess. I think Jack is with Anjelica and Michelle, two former girl friends. Always a dangerous situation but Jack survived. Remember Jack, it isn't the years, it's the mileage. How did I do?
