  1. Based on your scans, yikes. Edit: I failed to note that I submitted an Action 1 for grading and received an X-Force 1 in return. I'll follow-up ...
  2. Yikes, those are sale prices! I purchase new DC releases but the most I have ever spent, for a 1:25 I believe, was $24.99, if I recall correctly, about three months ago and thought about spending that amount for about a week, give or take. I don't recall spending more than a few dollars, early 2000s, for MC variants and/or limited releases. Apparently, I'm a cheapskate.
  3. Along this line, clearly rarity in combination with grade and perhaps demand (this may already have been mentioned), should still be/should be considered for assigning points. For example, copper and modern age comic books are, rightly, generally worth substantially less points than, for example, silver and bronze age ones because there are typically a ton of them, including keys. Of course, there are many more factors for assigning points that I will presently not address.
  4. Roy, gorgeous book! if I did not already have one in my set, well ...
  5. I purchased a FM plate in the 1970s for $2. Now (edit) its worth $1.
  6. I'm looking forward to, or not, homage covers of variant covers or has that occurred and I missed/ignored it.
  7. I recall the Carvel on Bergenline Avenue, Union City, NJ in the 1970s.
  8. I enjoyed the 1994 series (Spawn Batman and Batman Spawn: War Devil). I have not yet decided whether to purchase a reading copy of the upcoming series.
  9. If you are referring to Roulston, that is a rough looking 40s. I know folks in their 60s that look younger and healthier than he does. Granted, he may be ill in addition to, apparently, being a f****** criminal.
  10. If only I had not thrown my copy away! Of course, as I, hopefully, joke incessantly, by the time I decide to sell mine they will be selling for cover price.
  11. Below is an eBay sale of an item possibly comparable to your items, as is the sale price (e.g., your items may be worth more to you). 12. When I finally decide to sell my comic books and if I decide to sell some via eBay, this string will become a "must print, read and update."
  13. I wonder if it is the old "Handling Fee", as I have not purchased from them in 13 or more years.
  14. Yes, and that is scary as you note. Thankfully, the very few times I have done that in my comic book collecting life I have made certain that I have the "comic book money" to pay the bill as soon as I receive it.
  15. Yes, costs, especially shipping, of course, only ever increase in my experience. On a related note, although, of course, the cost of shipping has increased for comic book dealers, some add the cost of the old, if you will, "handling" to the price of shipping. Some add USD $10 or more. Clearly, it is their right. However, unless I get a price on a comic book that negates the cost of handling, it is my right to not purchase from them. A right I happily take advantage of.
  16. I'm hopeful that you, at least , got your money back (purchase price of comic book, shipping to CGC, grading by and shipping from CGC, shipping to CL - did I miss any other cost) but, unfortunately, I'm likely out of hope. If I am, that stinks.
