  1. I also have that occur and after struggling mightily it finally reveals the notifications.
  2. Well, at least not be able to access the registry is saving me comic book money by "preventing" me from purchasing more CGC graded comic books. ... ... ... For now!
  3. Camel: "An even-toed ungulate in the genus Camelus that bears distinctive fatty deposits known as "humps" on its back." Oops. My apology, wrong website.
  4. Let us have a contest, guess the next CGC QC issue. My guess, a slab that when it is pulled out of the return shipping box catches fire.
  5. Yes. "An error occurred during your last request. The error was logged and will be reported to the webmaster automatically. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your patience."
  6. In addition to what Cat notes, on several occasions the "system" has logged me off the boards but not the registry. To access the boards again I have to log off the registry and log on again. Edit: I will mention that perhaps CGC is giving me a hint.
  7. That looks like an automobile I saw yesterday in very bright blue metallic paint.
  8. Every comic book that I have CGC grade and every CGC comic book that I purchase is immaculately graded, encapsulated, and, from CGC, shipped, except when they are not. My retreat to the lazy venue of sarcasm once again is because, as Domo notes, the CGC of days past has vanished into the mist of mediocrity, perhaps worse.
  9. That has to hurt. I would hate to have a piece of plastic on my shoulder and back and be unable to remove it.
  10. You may have inadvertently responded to the incorrect post. Now I comprehend the point you made. That is what happens when I only read the last post.
  11. Since prices are "dropping like flies," the next Action Comics 1 CGC graded 10 that comes up for sale or auction is mine.
  12. So do I when you would get Economy grading tier comic books back before they turned to paper pulp.
  13. Ha! With my luck, the Big Wheel will roll over my comic books.
  14. Like other posters here, recently I've been purchasing CGC graded 9.8 comic books that few/"no one else" want/"s" on the relatively "cheap." Of course, there are myriad reasons why few, if any other, collectors want them.
  15. I recall also receiving a shipment, perhaps two, from them perhaps when they were in TN or soon after relocating back to IN where at least one of the comic book bags had been dropped, as you note, prior to packing. I don't recall ever receiving comic books that had not been collected into a single bag. However, it may have happened and I just don't recall it; I may be blocking it from my memory. In sum, DCBS quality has, in my experience, gone to pot over the last approximately eight years.
  16. Your first mistake was not deciding to purchase a CGC graded 9.8 copy of the issue. Your second mistake was reading my response to your post.
  17. Yes, DCBS does, unfortunately, leave a lot to be desired in that respect and although the condition of the comic books I receive from them are light years better than they were following their disastrous move to Memphis or Nashville, I forget which, they are still often far worse than prior to that move. As I wrote, I'm going to be moving away from them and order fewer comic books, etc., from other retailers, often paying more per book but I'll be rid of the DCBS headache and, based on not having orders cut and the condition of books from these other vendors, likely better off.
  18. In the "good old days," circa 2015, as I'm certain many have posted and/or remember, I vaguely recall receiving my "slow track" Economy tier submissions in approximately four weeks. Alas, those days may be forever dead, dead, dead, dead, dead.
  19. I also ordered from DCBS but, unfortunately, DCBS has a habit of saying to me "so sorry, not enough copies received and you lose." For the December order month I'm dramatically cutting back my purchases from DCBS, ordering more from other vendors that don't tell me "so sorry ...", and hopefully, sooner rather than later, stop ordering from DCBS. Of course, I should have done this at least 10 years ago except for being too loyal/dumb. I apologize for venting, but despite being a faithful DCBS customer for almost 20 years they "don't do me any favors." Granted, they don't have to but, at the least, stop telling me "too bad."
  20. I'll have to check to learn if I own other CGC graded comic books with the "MJ"I.
  21. I purchased 500, or was it five, copies of this issue. One day they'll make me rich, or not.
