  1. Beautiful comic books, especially the Tecs.
  2. Could it be a free three-day seminar?
  3. CCG Seeks Top Experts in VHS Tapes to Press Play on New Grading Service The Certified Collectibles Group wants to hear from and potentially hire top VHS experts for a new division dedicated to the professional authentication, grading and encapsulation of VHS tapes. This division will be part of CGC, the world’s leading third-party grading service for pop culture collectibles, including comic books, trading cards, magazines, concert posters and more. The formation of a new division for VHS tapes follows CGC’s highly successful launch of CGC Trading Cards in 2020 and the upcoming launch of CGC Video Games in 2022. CGC is continuing to expand its services to meet demand for professional authentication and grading across collectibles categories. Recently, CGC surpassed the milestone of 10 million collectibles certified, which includes the world’s most expensive comic book — a copy of Superman #1 graded CGC 8.0 that sold for $5.3 million. Being part of the launch of the new CGC division for VHS tapes is an incredible opportunity for the world’s top experts to help build a new grading service in a hot collectibles categories, backed by a company and leadership team that have a proven track record in collectibles certification. Well, I do have some VHS tapes of DC and Marvel super heroes.
  4. I sign all of my comic books on the front and back covers in green colored Sharpie. To make it interesting, I stand on line, talk to myself for 5 minutes, and then kindly and respectfully ask for my signature. My request is always accepted. Edit: In order to stay on topic, my Modern slow track submission of 35 comic books, received on 3/8/22 (arrived at CGC on February 12, 2022-CGC noted arrival as February 14) has been Scheduled for Grading since 3/8/22. I'm hopeful that the comic books will be returned to me in June 2022.
  5. At this rate, we are all going to have to pack a lunch, at minimum, for the comic books with every submission.
  6. I'd gladly pay $998 for that, to sweeten the deal, if it comes with (edit) an immediate non-counterfeit cash in hand refund of $1998.
  7. And, perhaps at some point the comic book visited Canada.
  8. I may be biased, but the Tecs are gorgeous (in any grade).
  9. I bury all of my slabs in my backyard. Although it clearly frees space in my house, the digging gets to be tedious.
  10. The USPS PM padded envelope appears used (unless USPS has requested lower grade production for them I write with tongue in cheek).
  11. Some people do say with PB it most definitely is a size thing. Joking aside, as others have posted, the bend to the right; there I go again; should not be.
  12. I have purchased a literal ton of comic books that were in Mylites that were sealed with scotch tape and the tape residue that remained on the bags after removing it made the bags worthless. Archives also retain tape residue in my experience but can still be used; however, not in an acid free box, for example, because the archive with residue to will stick to the archive in front and/or in back of it.
  13. I have had this problem a few times and the process to have it resolved is rather straight forward. Contact CGC, explain the issue, CGC will, perhaps, ask for a photograph of the damage, CGC will authorize a return for a ReHolder, and, in a email, explain the necessary steps to have your comic book ReHoldered for free and be reimbursed for the cost of shipping the comic book to CGC. CGC will ship it back to you at its cost. The last time I had to return a comic book whose slab was damaged during shipment to me from CGC was in 2000, if I correctly recall, and the CGC customer service representative, as always, was extremely helpful in resolving the issue. Edit: I failed to note that none of the comic books I received whose holders were damaged during shipment were themselves (correction) undamaged damaged and, thus, retained their grades. Based on the photograph you provided, the comic book does not appear to be damaged as the sleeve likely protected it as the slab is not, relatively, badly damaged (almost the entire bottom broke off from one of the damaged slabs I received).
  14. I am "Waiting on a Friend," and it may be a long wait since CGC "received" my 35 comic book submission (Modern, slow track) on March 8, 2022; the comic books were delivered to CGC on Saturday, February 12, 2022, and acknowledged as received on Monday, (correction) February March 14.
  15. True, but if someone ('someones'?) has me on ignore, they will miss my 1000 post in, hopefully, 2025 or 2026.
  16. I like the potential of ASM 265. Of course, by the time I sell a copy it will be worth .
