  1. I read the forum with my eyes closed, as I'm certain everyone knows from my posts.
  2. I have received that message many times, although it has been several years since the last one. To my recollection, after a day or two I would again register the comic book and it would be accepted. Hopefully, your experience will be the same.
  3. When I make revisions to a Set Description and select "save", my changes are not saved, instead I am directed to Set Listing. I attempted to "save" changes three times without success. Thank you for your assistance.
  4. "The new CGC case. What we should have done the first time." "However, we did not have to do that."
  5. It may be close to 20 years, if not more, since I purchased a DF comic book but I do recall that I did so from a comic book mail order company. It was either Westfield Comics or DCBS, and it very likely still took a very long time to receive it. In my limited experience with DF comic books, as shadroch notes, their value plummets; perhaps after 40 years the ones I purchased will be worth what I paid.
  6. I'll submit my copy of Actual Comic 1 for signing by an actual person.
  7. That CGC packaged your submission, after happily taking your money, in such an incredibly crappy way is .... I'll also mention that I, and I imagine many others folks, have received shipments from CGC that contained one slab of 25 that was damaged, as you show or worse. Since the remaining 24 slabs were not damaged, I "assume" that the slab was shipped to me in that condition, especially since the comic books were packaged relatively secure. For what purpose that was done, I'll leave alone for now. All such comic books were ME and, thankfully, arrived undamaged the second time.
  8. Like many long-time board members, I have learned about an endless array of scams on them. I am glad to have done so because, as is said, forewarned is forearmed.
  9. I agree, thus why I wrote "may be". etc., and, as you note, what has occurred since has eradicated any good that may have been intended.
  10. The comic books I track regularly, Batman 200 to 300 and Detective Comics 400 to 500, have, that I've seen, alternated in auction price from relatively cheap to relatively expensive. Of course, that can be said for many, if not most, Bronze Age comic books. I will note that the asking prices for these books tend to regularly be on the very high side. Still, some do sell; I have not purchased them, but sellers don't need me to.
  11. In HR's history, it may be that those folks who received their comic books back in a "timely" manner are few and far between. Where such instances done "honestly"; that is, the comic books received the complete service that was paid for in a reasonable time period; or as a way to encourage them to perhaps submit more expensive comic books? I, naturally, do not know the answer.
  12. Looks like my collection, except for all the comic books in the photo.
  13. USPS in my area is great. As with you, when I received my CGC shipments via USPS I or another adult family member had to sign before the boxes were surrendered.
  14. I bury my comic books in my yard, so what do I know.
  15. FedEx, the gift (big grift) that keeps screw... you over and over and ....
  16. As I continue to post, apparently I can't resist, FedEx and, to add to another poster's comment, UPS in my area have left a lot to be desired for, at least over a decade. The very few good folks that worked for either were too long ago given other routes; perhaps they left for other positions. Thus, we are stuck with workers who don't give a .... and when one complains they do a better job that soon vanishes like a thousand dollar bill left very visible at the subway station.
