Let`s see Buck Rogers,Flash Gordon,Lone Ranger,Shadow and Tarzan at one time were big or bigger than Batman. I wonder why the fell out of the publics imagination and if they will ever become big again?

I bought them at the Atlanta Comic Convention on Sunday........hope I didnt overspend!! I have a nice early run now, AF 15, 2, 3, 4, 6 (CGC 4.5), 9 (CGC 4.5).......13, 14 (CGC 7.0) 15 ............ there is no way your overspent. early Spideys are like a barrel of oil or ounce of gold. they keep going up and up. skys the limit! congratualations on some great books.

the Marvels are hot due to the movies and videogames. brings new blood into the market. Warrens out of business and they are obscure from the mainstream.

best episode ever. it`s fascinating how the oldtimers comicbook retailer became rich and millionares like mile high comics. I don`t think if someone started today with the advent of ebay and the internet they could become as big as Sparkle City and Mile High Comics. back then buy valuable comic for 5 dollars from a kid or uninformed adult then flip it for a thousand dollars to collector. You had to be in at the beginning.thats how empires are built . too late for the newcomer now. with the internet and ebay easier to find out price then back in the day when you had to look thru newspaper classifieds.

John Buscema always prefered his Conan over Barry Smith. Joe Staton would have love to see him have a shot at X-men in the 1980`s. he would have been huge and Gene Colan his Tomb of Dracula cannot be beat not to mention his Howard the Duck.

As much as people complain about Conan The Destroyer the story is really more like the REH stories than Conan The Barbarian. It just goes to show you, what makes good reading does not necessarly make good cinema. conan movies rocked,we need another to finish off the trilogy. I wonder if Marvel kicking itself for letting Conan go?

yeah good points. it also shows how you can be on top(tarzan,loneranger,doc savage,the shadow) and not even being relevant with todays generation. I could also see this happening to superman soon especially if DC loses the copyright..

this conan online game is creating quite the buzz age of conan Conan is still cool but on the other hand 2 heroes I can think of Tarzan and Lone Ranger have gone down. them 2 were on a par with Superman and Batman years ago and now?
