  1. CGC Cards thanks its submitters for being patient during website upgrades and continuing to send in high-caliber cards for best-in-class grading and ReHolder services.

All your cards, all in one place! CGC Cards™ is thrilled to introduce a single, streamlined website and online submission form for all TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards. In addition, collectors and dealers are now able to submit sports cards to CGC Cards’ offices in London and Munich.

The combination of the Certified Collectibles Group’s grading services for TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards into one division — CGC Cards — has been a tremendous success. In just two months, more than 400,000 cards have been submitted to CGC Cards, including some of the hobby’s rarest and most iconic cards!

CGC Cards offers many collector-friendly upgrades, such as more affordable prices, the ability to submit without a paid membership, an industry-standard Gem Mint 10 grading scale and a sleek new label that puts the spotlight on the cards.

ReHolder special extended through October 2023

Many submitters have taken advantage of CGC Cards’ $5 ReHolder special for cards valued under $10,000, loving not just the new grading scale and label but also the impressive prices realized for reholdered cards. Due to the popularity of the special, CGC Cards is extending it through October!

To qualify for the discounted ReHolder fee, the submission form must be completed by October 31, 2023, and delivered to CGC Cards by November 20, 2023. All cards submitted for ReHolder with a Gem Mint 9.5 grade automatically convert to the CGC Cards Gem Mint 10 grade.

You may need to pay for the extra thick holder (7.25mm), but I don’t know if they plan to still offer them under CGC.

Based upon a pt of thickness being 0.01% of an inch, 7.25mm would be about 285 pt in thickness.

There is no longer an add-on fee for the thick holders. Thick holders will be used if needed, but there is no additional charge for them.

If so, how do I do it.  While in the submission form it makes you toggle from tcg to sportscards, it wont let you add to same list

Thank you for reaching out to us. Soon, CGCcards.com will have just one online submission form for all TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards. When the form is merged in the coming months, you will be able to submit a mixed bulk order that includes all cards graded by CGC Cards. Until then, there is still a submission form for TCGs and non-sports cards and a submission form for sports cards. For TCGs and non-sports cards, you can submit a mix of different types/games, with a 25-card minimum. For sports cards, you can submit a mix of sports card types, with a 25-card minimum.

    Hello

I sent my cards in well over a month ago when it was 7 seven day turnaround and got charged accordingly half way through it changed to 15 days and it went to grading in fine time not what was promised when I sent my cards in but fine now it’s been at quality check for over 2 and a half weeks it’s well over the 15 working days I called in and they said give it a extra week or two and basically got hung up on I’m just saying this is how you lose customers. “There is nothing that can be done give it a week or two” was the quote this two card order has now gone longer than other orders to PSA and becket I’ve done and is nowhere near being shipped back and  sorry for the vent but I bet a lot of people are having the same story.

Sorry to hear about the delay with your submission. Can you send me a private message with your customer number and submission number so that I can look into what is holding it up? Thank you.

I have a couple cards from Pacific that are embossed. In the late nineties, early 2000s, Pacific gave collectors the opportunity to have their cards embossed at shows. Does CGC grade these types of cards? Or would they be considered altered even though the actual card company did it?

That is a card we will grade, and we will notate the year and which regional specific show that came from, ex: ('98 Vancouver Stamp)

Hs anyone submitted a thicker card to CSG?

Currently, CGC Cards accepts cards sized 2-5/8” x 3-3/4” (6.6cm x 9.5cm) or smaller. Cards may be up to 7.25mm thick.

We have eliminated the $5 thick holder add-on charge on all CGC Cards submissions.

  11. This is our current CGC Cards pricing going forward without a CGC Cards paid membership:

  12. Submitters can now choose “National On-site Grading” when filling out the CGC Cards online submission forms.

CGC Cards™ is thrilled to offer on-site grading at the 2023 National Sports Collectors Convention at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, happening July 26-30, 2023. This is the first on-site grading event for the new CGC Cards, the hobby’s second-largest grading services for sports cards, TCGs and non-sports cards. With on-site grading, submitters get their cards graded and back by the end of the show, saving time and shipping fees.

Submitters are sure to be impressed by the affordable prices and fast turnaround times that CGC Cards is offering at The National. On-site grading, which includes ReHolder submissions, will be available Wednesday, July 26, through Saturday, July 29. WalkThrough submissions will still be accepted until Sunday, July 30, at 12:00 p.m. CDT. For more about what CGC Cards has planned for The National, go here.

If on-site grading submissions need to be cut off early, submissions will still be accepted for grading at CGC Cards headquarters at the regular fees and turnaround times.

Meanwhile, the other divisions of Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) — CGC Comics™, CGC Video Games™ and CGC Home Video™ — will also be accepting drop-offs of regular submissions to be graded at the company’s Florida headquarters. Show drop-offs save on shipping fees one-way to CGC’s facility. For more information about submitting comics, video games and home video, go here.

  13. Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we are unable to grade Sportscasters cards at this time as they are too big for our largest holder. Currently, CGC Cards accepts cards that are sized 2 5/8" x 3 3/4" (6.6cm x 9.5cm) or smaller and up to 7.25mm thick. We are working on holders to accommodate larger and thicker card sizes and we hope to share that information with the hobby community soon.

Do you have an approximate timeline for this basic submission option? Is this happening actually soon or is this working on oversized holders soon?

There is not a definite date announced yet, but the combined online submission form will be ready before the $5 reholder special is over in September.

  15. Right now, each would need to be 25 cards. Soon, we will have just one online submission form for all TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards. When the form is merged in the coming months, you will be able to submit a mixed Bulk order that includes all cards graded by CGC Cards. Until then, there is still a submission form for TCGs/non-sports cards and a submission form for sports cards. For TCGs/non-sports cards, you can submit a mix of different types/games, with a 25-card minimum. For sports cards, you can submit a mix of different sports card types, with a 25-card minimum.

  16. With the official launch of CGC Cards, enjoy more affordable pricing and the option to submit without a paid membership (but paid members get even lower prices on grading!).

It's go time! CGC Cards™ is now accepting submissions of virtually all TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards, following the combination of CGC Trading Cards® and CSG®. Collectors will enjoy more affordable prices, the ability to submit without purchasing a membership, an industry-standard Gem Mint 10 grading scale and other great benefits.

Sounds good.  Next week is aok too.  Enjoy the weekend!

I was told that you can submit the black/gold label CSG Gem Mint 10 cards for grade review under a regular grading tier. You would select the grading tier on the online submission form and submit those cards like a regular submission. Then you will need to include a note on the packing slip that you are requesting a grade review for the CSG Gem Mint 10 encapsulated cards for a possible cross as a CGC Cards Pristine 10 gold label. Also, affix a note to the CSG Gem Mint 10 encapsulated cards with a similar note requesting the grade review for a possible CGC Cards Pristine 10 grade. Putting a note on the packing slip as well as on the cards themselves, will ensure that the grade review is performed on those cards. The cards sent for grade review will be charged the applicable grading fees according to the grading tier you submitted them under.

I understand that, but "Re-grade card" is not currently an option on the CSG Services & Fees landing page on the website.  What I don't want to have happen, is to pay for the regrading fee -which, for me, will be double the cost of the re-holder fee- and not have the cards re-evaluated for potential Gem Mint 10 to Pristine 10.  I do plan to re-holder all of my cards in the Black Label holders as well as have my Pristine 10's in the Green Label placed into the new Pristine 10 Holders.

So, how do I go about ensuring that my order is processed correctly?  Is there someone I need to speak with about this or some other way for me to guarantee that this is done correctly?  I am doing monthly shows and selling online and don't have the energy, time, nor patience to deal with issues that go awry with my subs.  As always, I appreciate your insight, guidance, and feedback, Ryan.

Sorry for the delay. I have reached out to our graders to get the exact protocol for submitting your Gem Mint 10 card to be reviewed for a possible bump to the CGC Cards Pristine 10 grade. Our offices have been closed yesterday and today for the Independence Day holiday, but I will follow up with them first thing tomorrow when our offices re-open to get the correct information for you as I want to make sure the process is as smooth as possible for you.

Hey @CGCRyan, wondering if you had any insight on a couple of questions:

    1. Once the merger is complete, can customers make up a 25-card bulk order with a combination of sports and non-sports/TCG cards (ie. 20 sports and 5 TCG)?

    2. In at least two interviews, I've seen VP Matt Quinn state that current CGC cards graded 9 Mint with subgrades of "mint mint plus plus" (ie. 9 9 9.5/10 9.5/10) would qualify for a 9.5 Mint + reholder. Would this also apply to reholders for green label CSG with subgrades of "mint mint plus plus?"  For instance, a card with these types of subgrades...

    Thank you!!

Thank you for reaching out to us. To answer your questions:

    1. With CGC Cards, you will be able to mix your Bulk submissions to include a combination of sports cards, non-sports cards and trading cards.

    2. Any Mint 9 (green label or black label CSG) will be a Mint 9 if you send it in for reholder. If you would like to have the card reviewed for a possible grade bump, it would go through the regular submission process and be charged a regular grading fee.

  20. Your membership and all added benefits such as grading credits and grading discounts will still be applicable on all CGC Cards submissions during the term of your membership. While you will not need a paid membership to submit with CGC Cards only a free account, there will be exclusive benefits to having a paid membership with CGC Cards that will be announced soon.
