Ahh man I wish I stumbled on this thread earlier. I've been pressing my own books for over a year now and have been getting better and better results but my latest submission had 3 books with canvassing in the grader notes. After reading this it seems like everything I've added that has made the pressing more effective has also increased the chances of this defect. The 3 books still pulled 9.2s which makes them better then break even but I'm assuming they were probably atleast 9.6s without the canvassing which kinda sucks. I've ordered srp sheets to avoid this in the future.

I always use the priority boxes for slabs, usually the one that's about the same size as the medium flat rate one. I've never had anyone complain in fact I've often got kudos for my packing Granted I do have a source of free high quality bubble wrap through work that makes it nice and snug. Oh you said magazine I don't believe I've ever shipped one of those, that may be too tight idk.

Ahh man having spent about 15 years or so messing around with coins I'll tell you coin dealers will definitely try to rip you off. If you show up at a coin shop with a coin collection and not alot of knowledge you would be lucky if the offer is more then 10% of the value. There's a big difference between collector coins and bullion coins/bars and such, the bullion coins will go up and down based on the metal price but collector coins could easily tank if the base of collectors goes down.

I liked the fact he wrote Christmas raffle on the box so when my wife was griping about getting "another box of comics" I could say look this is from that raffle I told you about I didn't buy these. Boxes of comics can be a bit of a source of contention at my house.

Yeah I took a pic then put the books away for some reason it's upside down and won't let me edit it.
