  1. So far, two people did not get repaid in the Cap_Freak disaster? I know, I didn't realize that either.
  2. I haven't been repaid, nor had a response to my last PM. We're only talking $4.64 since but since you're claiming to have repaid everybody I thought I'd mention it. That's 2 non-refunds, plus 2 not-fully-refunded transactions (PayPal fees deducated from refund). Connor must have lost track after all this time. Go figure!
  3. CAP_Freak is the actually the poster-boy example of this - when I purchased stuff from his ill-fated for sale thread, I had no clue he'd been on the probation list several times previously. If I had known, there's not a chance I would have purchased anything from him ... Have to agree strongly with this statement. Quite a few of us bought books from CAP_Freak with no idea he had been on the list multiple times. So our only option is while someone is throwing wonderful books up in a thread of hungry buyers that I am trying to compete with, I have rush back to the Probation thread and use the broken search function to find out if I want to buy from a seller. By the time you sort through all the pages upon pages to confirm they are solid sellers, many items will be gone. Or, you buy them, have a problem with the seller, and then folks point you to an area of the Probation thread that is over a year old and state "Didn't you know they were a problem before?" Let's make this easier to refer back to, be fair with the entries, and from all this super work over the past few weeks feel more secure we have the references we need.
  4. PayPal is "reviewing your case" after the money was taken out of my account. That is the explanation for the "just about". ebradley has received his money.
  5. Jesus, just shut up already. That's advice, not a threat btw. When you're in a hole, stop digging. Being snide is going to help you out exactly 0% + 100 Just resolve the situation that has gone on far too long and be done with it. Egging people on with the rude comments is not helping douse the flames.
  6. And with someone dressed in a Mickey Mouse outfit, nonetheless. THE HORROR! THE HORROR!
  7. I paid you $17.86 - I got a refund for $16.86 on the 26th. Still missing $1. I am also shorted 42 cents or something. Not that i really care about 42 cents, but it is the principality of the matter. If you really want to make me happy, keep the 42c and ship me the books i ordered free of charge, I can't be held responsible for the fee that I never received. For anyone ever involved in a refund as a seller or a buyer, PayPal always refunds the transfer amount involved in the sale as long as you sent it as a refund off the original transaction. How did you send this refund? But, I also have to agree with my fellow board members, it doesn't matter. You are trying to resolve a situation you caused to calm things down. Deducting the transaction amount from a refund is petty, and now adds to the heat of the situation. Would you appreciate someone doing this to you?

  9. Sounds kinky. Always about wild intercourse with those Europeans.
  10. WOW! This kid hit more home runs lying about this age to be grandfathered in, multiple problems, and more user names than should ever be allowed. What a winner.
  11. WOW! Now that is a sharp looking list, and easy on the eyes.
  12. And he did marry the model for House of Secrets 92, so that notches him way up above other creators. Excellent point! (thumbs u Weezie was obviously a hottie in her younger days. It would appear so.

  14. "Stink-o-meter" You must keep your new wife laughing continuously. I mean with your jokes
  15. My two favorite collecting focuses are Alan Moore Swamp Things and Frank Miller Daredevils. Love 'em both!
  16. (thumbs u Oddly enough, both started coming into their own as major comic influences around 1981-1983. Miller's defining moment of being seen as a major writing force is Daredevil 168 (January, 1981). He'd already received his warmup co-writing on the title, but now it was his show after convincing Shooter he could turn the character around from a dog to a major force. Alan Moore had been writing and drawing sideline characters before getting involved in Doctor Who, Judge Dredd, and Captain Britain stories in the early 80's. Then, stories with Marvelman and V For Vendetta through Warrior Magazine. So not sure if they influenced each other, but they really started taking off in that 1981-1983 period in their own markets, and would later grow into much more recognized creative powerhouses from there on out. Not sure if they were aware of each other at that point, but I doubt they influenced each other. By the way, here is a very interesting interview with Alan Moore about his influences over the years. He mentions Flash, Action Comics, Detective Comics as major influences, though his concern was it was fantasy land where they lived. I wonder if this is why he wanted to create more realistic stories to bring characters into the world we all live in versus happy-peppy environments all the time. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=511
  17. I like your suggestion as to categorize everyone together as probation members versis distinguishing root cause makes it easier to determine what the issue was that got them on the list.
  18. Thanks so much to my on-going hero, skinny_white_boy, for another super transaction. Always packed super-safe, quickly shipped, and grading spot-on. Thanks Josh for always making every transaction a great one!
