Doesnt CGC have some books in the vault that they had to replace that are still high dollar? I remember the blue label-purple label-blue label book for one. These would make great prizes.
We haven't discussed prizes in great detail but, I would guess there would be grading coupons/credit at minimum.

I will put you and @Galen130 in charge of rounding up people that want a grading contest, and post in this thread. This will help me to convince my boss to approve it.
best is to start sign up thread in comics general. that way everyone will see it.
Not signup thread yet. It isn't etched in stone. We just need to show CGC that there is enough interest.

There have been talks about CGC hosting a grading contest on a regular basis. Would anyone be interested in seeing this happen?

Hello
A sister company CSG grades sports card. Here is a link to the site, which shows what cards they grade.

Hello
I don't think it would be O/C or an error, no.
-
I have started a thread in comics general. Please list in detail all of the problems you are experiencing on this site. Here's the thread.

The title has been changed.

Both make sense, but it’s surprising, and frankly disappointing, that a company like CGC wouldn’t have hired or contracted with someone to fix something like this. It doesn’t appear to be a problem with any other site or forum I visit.
I am going to reach out to management today and push real hard for steady, tech support for the boards. Please be patient a while longer. meanwhile, bring all of the board problems to this section. I will not be able to go to every corner of this forum to find problems people are having with this site.

I will reach out to my boss today and push for more speedy technical support.

Seriously, everyone is here because they like comic books. Lets enjoy the hobby, and allow this thread to cool down for a while.

Matt Nelson will be so pleased with all the new posts in his thread.

Here is a link to your thread. Just hit reply at the bottom, and add new books.

To be fair, I think that it is the way he went about it that upset some people Buttock.
Matt, if I may, is this portrayal of Buttock's correct? Did you decide to recruit a paid moderator because Dr, sorry, Mr Bedrock 'raised his voice and flexed'? Should we be thanking Mr Bedrock for bringing you all to your senses or, if that decision, say, was already in train, should we be more focussed on the way he conducted himself and considerate of the feelings of those who were unfairly tarnished in the fallout following his intervention?
As a side note, I can't believe I've used the word 'buttock' twice in this post to you.
Here is what Dena posted:
There has been quite a bit of misinformation tossed around in the last few days and it's incredibly disappointing to see the base behavior of some. Nothing happened here as the result of a few phone calls. Anyone watching the careers page on the CCG website would know there was an open position posted for Social Media Coordinator long before those calls were made.
Trashing the moderators as is being done here is completely inappropriate. There is an effort being made to address the issues but those issues are not the fault of the moderators who have invested numerous hours dealing with some very sticky situations.
The bottom line is that there was the need to add more resources here for some time. It is difficult to find the right people to support the activity here. Many of you base your opinions on what you see here only. There is way more happening behind the scenes and I can assure you that if you were on the receiving end of what has been tolerated here, your tone would be much different.
The good news is change is coming. However, you are sadly mistaken if you think there will be tolerance for disrespect of your hosts and those that keep this board running. Careful what you wish for folks. It's wonderful that we have many eyes on this now at the office. They are seeing everything though, not just what some want them to see.

This belongs in the PGM sub-forum, for sure. No need to delete. @CGC Mike, can you move it please?
Done!

Part of my job is to aid in technical problems people are having with the chat board. Everyone can bring them up in this forum, and I will direct specific issues to the people who can help fix them.

Hi, I'm Jeff in Florida. I'm 47 and I collected when I was a kid but stopped in my early teens. Now I have a 10 year old son who is in to comics and we're enjoying some of my old ones together. We're buying a few to fill in some gaps too. We've submitted a few for grading for the first time just now. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Yesterday CGC posted on Instagram about a collaboration between CGC and Steve Aoki's Cardhouse (link).
Hello,
Thank you for your concern, but CGC is not directly associated with the Aoki Foundation. Mr. Aoki has an extensive Pokémon card collection, some of which he submitted to CGC Trading Cards for certification. The custom label that you saw in the post is a private label, produced only for cards that he submitted to CGC Trading Cards from his collection.
Exciting Updates to the CGC Chat Boards
