I made the drive from the Charlotte area last year.  If you're into comics and not as much the other stuff, then go.  Similar to Heroes Con but you'll get many dealers from the northeast that won't make the trip into the Carolinas.

Create your order thru the CGC site, print off the paperwork, pay for the service, then take your books to the show w/ the required completed forms.

Show up at the CGC booth and a rep will go thru your stuff to verify your submission is accurate.  You're done.  Very easy.  Enjoy the show.

I usually go Friday afternoon.  The show is slower and the reps aren't as busy.

Is Fuel Pizza still there?  They had closed locations last year...

Around 1990, I was set up at a NY show, and at the table next to mine was a store owner from Virginia.  We spent four days talking and watching each other's table. He was near Alexandria, and I visited DC often, so a few weeks later, I dropped by his shop. It was a nice enough shop but I was stunned to find out he slept on a mattress in the backroom and showered at a gym.  Living his dream came with a cost.
