Here's your chance to own the iconic VAMPIRELLA #11 in the hard-to-find 1.8 grade for a mere $75--with free shipping!

I checked the census, and if you had this book slabbed, it would have the unique distinction of being the lowest-graded copy in census--by some 7 full grade increments!

    DON'T MISS OUT!!!

    I'm speechless.....😖

Yes, and a low grade one at that.  Not really looking for the HC, although I’m open to getting it if the opportunity ever presents itself.

I always forget is the hard cover rarer or the soft cover. I know I must get one , but it's not incredibly high on my list.

And still waiting on the #19 from Canada I mentioned in the last post... last tracking update showed it in LA 5 days ago, further away from me than where it started.  We'll see how long it takes to finally show up.  Meanwhile, this arrived today:

    Is that a soft cover?

Well, I wasn't actually planning to make an offer, so I doubt if I can insult him with mine.  I was just wondering at what point a fair and reasonable offer intersects with what he would consider an "insulting" offer.

Man, I paid 60.00 for a CGC 9.0 a few years ago at a show.

It's got a couple small dings, MCS had it as a 7.0, I think?  I'm guessing it could probably pull an 8 or 9 with a press, depending on if they consider the marks near the price production flaws or stains.  I think they're production but not positive.

I've found that MCS grades their books 1-2 grades lower . So I would probably bet that your book is an easy 8.0 if they say 7.0

Blazing Combat 1 is also climbing the list of war keys and I expect this special book to end up somewhere in the Overstreet Price Guide’s War Report top 10 of 50 most significant war comics. The fact that it’s a magazine with a Frazetta cover makes it even more unique during a time when the war genre was dominated by DC’s Big 5 and Marvel’s Sgt. Fury comics.

    Thank you!

Probably the best war comic ever.

Two seconds after that photo was taken, it did, in fact, fall.  But in an act of amazing deftness and dexterity, Oakman caught the Savage Tales as it fell while securing the other books with his right arm.

After which, he returned the books to the safe confines of his vault and then made a spectacular meal for his family, providing excellent conversation while they ate.  Still, as he sat there with his family, smiling and enjoying his wife and kids, a thought invaded his consciousness- "Sweet Jesus!  That was a close call with the Savage Tales!"

Feeling thankful for his good fortune, he put the thought away and never thought about it again.

Man are you in the room with me?😁
