  1. I love putting together stuff that my recipient wants, but I hate it when they are vague with their want list.
  2. I'm all for that. Dirty Laundry was a perfect Punisher.
  3. Also would like to mention some great artists. Mike Mignola Billy Tan- Who drew an insane Wolverine for me. And Tommy Lee Edwards- who drew an awesome Batman for me. Ethan Van Sciver
  4. Well that's great and all , but let's see some pics of your books! My first and only submission was at a con in Long Beach, and personally I was a bit surprised by the findings. I had a Werewolf b6 Night 32 that I thought would get a 9.0 and it got a 9.4. Another one was an Amazing Spider-Man 238 that I thought was a perfect candidate for a 9.6, and it got an 8.5 Wha! Otherwise I would hate to mail my books to CGC for fear that they would get lost in the mail, so I don't submit.
  5. Bob Kane had many people ghost sign for him, and 95% of his signatures that you see are not his. This piece is something cool, but I would buy for the image not the signature.
  6. Okay I'll play. Dark Knight - Heath Ledger IS the Joker to me, just brilliant acting. V for Vendetta- just a perfect movie. Sin City- It was literally a frame by frame perfection of Frank Miller's Sin City books. Road to Perdition- brilliant film 300- Frank Miller masterpiece Wanted- some may balk at this pick, but I was entertained from start to finish. Batman begins Spider-Man - I waited in line for what seemed like a whole day to see Spideys screen debut. Spider-Man 2 - Doc Ock is one of my favorite villains. Creepshow- well you know.
  7. It really depends on the book itself. Detective Comics 27 ? A 2.0 would certainly be a keeper. Anything usually in 2.0 or under would be a reader.
  8. Never was a big McFarlane fan, don't see why he was so huge on the Spidey run.
  9. The German prints are kinda rare in high grade. I mean they only made 1000 to begin with.
  10. You did good man, albeit 8K would have been a bit high in my opinion. If you wanna play with the big dogs, sometimes you gotta pay for the big books.
  11. Where's Hulk 180? I would defer to the other side of the fence at DC, and put Hos 92, GL 76, and possibly Batman 232 in that list.
  12. Is Cat 1, Night Nurse 1 ,and Hulk 141 even in the same category as the rest of these keys?
  13. It really is refreshing to see more and more people getting away from this weird stigma of magazines being too big to store, or whatever the reason people give to not collect these wonderful books. the truth is they are far superior to their comic book counterparts.
