It was the regular version of Keys To The Kingdom #4. The variant to that issue is proving very difficult for me to get in 9.8 or above. The #5 book is gonna be a special book for me too, so I would like to get that in high grade.

My six-book first arc set just sold on eBay and it was out there less than 24 hours. Wow.

I was shocked they didn't sell here, actually.

I'm not. I feel blacklisted when I try to sell on these boards. The only books of mine that get sold are the ones I give away for postage. The little cliques here don't like me.

Totally worth the price if it ends up being a 9.8. I've won a few IDW auctions and the condition is hit or miss. Could be anywhere from a 9.2 to a 9.8/9.9.

Yeah, there is only ONE 9.9 of this variant and we all know who has it.

Honestly I'd just skip that & buy the hard covers then focus your time on the singles. So how is the bidding going ?

 

 

Well, so far so good. I'm a lot higher than i wanted to be and have hit a mark where i prolly won't go any further ... but, you only live once - right?

So are you the guy that outbid me earlier today? I will push this book up more since I missed out on a 9.8 graded back in nov/dec.

It could have been a "gal" ya know....

And they won't try to tell you a grade if you ask. They will tell you if it has creases, smudges, tears, etc. though. But I have found for the most part, their books are nice.

Joe seems to be doing signings at book stores or libraries because he is promoting his PB edition of HORNS. It would surely make a lot of sense if he were to visit a large con before the TV series comes out... but who knows. He and Gabe promoted the comic alot the year it came out and attended alot of cons, but he doesn't seem to be doing that too much anymore.

Locke & Key is HOT right now... only to rise more - we hope. So it's time to get that extra Welcome to Lovecraft special edition variant out and get it graded...

Yes.... I'd be checking on that - especially since you submitted through someone else. RIGHT NOW, the only thing behind (according to the CGC Services and Fees section of their website) is the 20-day express coupon (and it sits at 1/23/2011).

 

I'd ask your LCS when they were shipped to CGC and ask to see verification. Something is fishy there...

 

It could be shipping time between canada & us as well have something to do with it ... I don't know what cgc uses to ship .... I trust my LCS though if he was going to screw me over it would have been on the first submisions I did with my web of spider man #1 9.8 & walking dead #1 9.8

I didn't mean to insinuate your LCS was crooked, thought it was more that they didn't submit them when they told you they did... held them to get more of a group. Do you always have such long delays with submissions? If so, then it's probably all good!

Had a friend over today. Wanted to dig through my longboxes. Lookie what I found! Forgot I had these. All but 1 are 9.8 or better! Guess what's going to CGC tomorrow!!!

 

11 9.8,including the signed edition!
