I just got another one, #21 with a black spiderman, again billed as "first print". Again noted subtly but clearly where someone erased the "third printing" on the first page...so I guess I would be very careful about ever considering this a second print without a very close inspection in hand first +1

Both, I have a handful on walls, and some in boxes. +1 I use Frame it Again Sam frames. They open at the top so you can switch them easily. They look nice, and they were cheap.

Matter of fact, it's so hard to see I can barely see the word THIRD and only the letter G of "printing" on mine. But it's enough to realize it's a 3rd print. I'd really like to know what the advertisements are in yours.

Sorry about that. I should have just made it one post. (thumbs u The "THIRD PRINTING" is very hard to see. Just looking at it, I didn't see it. You can't see it in the picture. But it's there. It wasn't until I looked real close that I saw it. You should double check yours, and look real closely. Plus, check the ads. Especially, the Checklist page. That is another way to tell when a book was printed. If you have all the same ads, and the checklist still says Joe 37 is the current issue, you need to look real close for the "THIRD PRINTING"

I was on at the comic show when I found it. However, when I got home and looked at it in better lighting I could tell the "THIRD PRINTING" was there only it was lightly printed. It's hard to see; however, if you know exactly where it is and look real close you can see it. I'm real curious about your copy. Can you check all the advertisements in your copy? If there is a difference, it may show up there. can you circle where in the text it says second print? most people agree the black spidey upc is the 3rd print No. That is not true. A third print will say "THIRD PRINTING" The popular theory about the mysterious 2nd print is that it has a Black Spidey without the notation of a printing at all. Thus, people may have it thinking they have a 1st print.

Based on your comment about Bob, I don't think you've read the comics....
