  1. Telerites turned me on to a seller on eBay, who sells some awesome vintage Marvel items. An early 70's Steranko poster from FOOM, and Third Eye greeting cards from 1971. Decided to matte them and frame 'em up!
  2. Very very cool room! I especially like the vintage FF poster...Third Eye?
  3. I read about his garage sales on his blog! Have you gone before? I have, yes, as he lives right around the corner from me. I was even his hired hand at the one he just had last weekend. He had a "driveway" con, which unfortunately I could not attend. In attendance: him, Mike Barr, and Tom Batuik (Funky Winkerbean). Would have been fun... As far as the merchandise? Great stuff! .25 comic books (you may find some Walking Dead in there), $2.00 brand new GN's, and $5.00 (sometimes unopened) HC's! It's fun, he tells a lot of cool stories from back in the day, and I can think of worse ways to spend a Saturday morning!
  4. Another fine addition to my small poster collection. Picked it up from Tony Isabella himself, $10! Not sure of the artist...anyone?
  5. I absolutely could not agree more! I peruse craigslist daily, been looking for years, and just happen to find this, $50.00. Literally 2 miles from where I work. A little power-wash, new hardware, good (if not better than) new!
  6. Oh, and the old (I believe Dell) comic rack someone sold me for $50.00! Decided to fill it with some cool old stuff.
  7. First is just simply a windowsill in the cave; a juxtaposition of Star Trek and Superman! Second is a print of Buscema's Marvel heroes of the 1970's; have always loved this piece! Next up is a signed Kirby commerative Captain America litho I found at a local antique store; nice find! Lastly, part of the collection itself!
  8. Oustanding room! Now that is something to be proud of!
  9. The one with the rifle is called a CIB, or Combat Infantry Badge. Thiis is in fact awarded to infantrymen and other frontline troops (like the Cavalry) that has seen combat. There is another simply called the Infantry Badge (looks the same, but without the wreaths on each side); this earned by completing a series of tests and excercises, both mental and physical. The others are crossed sabres for the Cavalry, crossed sabres and a tank for the Armored Cav, and so on. These are polished up nicely and worn on your dress uniform. Excellent finds!
  10. Oh, and if anyone has any ideas on how to do so, that would be great!
  11. Just added this to my comic room. Never seen one before, thought it was pretty cool. Next, going to frame and try to find a way to display my two sided Superman Cleveland Expo poster.
  12. Thanks! That has also been a priority of mine for 10 years now; one just kinda fell in my lap...
  13. Not much of a room... Started out in the smallest spare bedroom. Then graduated to the larger room, now taking over the basement! My wife says I have issues... First pic is just my desk area, kinda taken over by my superhero/Star Trek oddities, while the other two are the nice spinner rack I just found on Craigslist for $50.00. Decided to fill it up with the few Dells I have.
  14. Around 30 long boxes and maybe 8 short boxes. Trying to down size though, by selling off my copper and moderns, and sticking with bronze/silver keys. Ah, good times...
  15. In my quest to fill my X-Men run, picked up a sweet X-Men #6 from Artboy99. Thank you! The price was more than fair, and the shipping secure and fast! Excellent!
  16. A huge kudos to Brent over at Quality Comics! Picked up a beautiful X-Men #2; great price, outstanding packaging and fast shipping! Thanks for such a smooth and effortless transaction!
  17. Kudos and thanks to JoeM for helping me out with my few remaining Iron Man holes! Great prices, accurate grading, fast shipping. Hoo-ah! Thanks JoeM!
