  1. Just finished episode 8....GREAT show!! I admittedly don't want a lot of DC, like the rest of the world, because it always comes across as one notch too far in to cheesy and the connection across TV/Film and Film/Film is such a cluster-$%#@....BUT, this one was great!!!
  2. Trying to avoid reading this thread until I catch up…just finished #1-5…this show is damn entertaining!!!
  3. This would be my list... 1. Thor #165 CGC 9.2-9.4 2. Fantastic Four #5 CGC 5.0ish 3. Tale of suspense #39 CGC 4.0ish 4. Journey Into Mystery # 83 CGC 4.0ish 5. Hulk #1 CGC CGC 1.0ish
  4. ECONOMY 8 books RECEIVED 8/11/2021 SFG 187 days... VALUE 36 books RECEIVED 8/11/2021 SFG 187 days...
  5. Two? We saw Strange...who else? We're all speculating that we "heard" Professor X...
  6. What the....is he eating a cinnamon roll?
  7. For the first few hours, it’s nice. I was giddy watching this trailer without it being spoiled.
  8. HA! Yep! I'm nothing if not "sporadic and eclectic". I stumbled in to this interesting thread and just went through the pics on my phone adding books that I consider holds for the time being. There are about a half dozen variants for the Hulk #1...this is easily my favorite as a homage to the original Incredible Hulk #1 back in the 60's. I bought a bunch of these several years ago on the cheap and I've been having them slabbed over the years. Definitely going to pop once Red Hulk makes an appearance on TV/Movie. Most of these have already seen significant increases, but will see even more once these characters show up in up-coming movies...then I'm selling and buying a Gen 1 Bronco or K5...
  9. It’s the first comic appearance of both Mario and Donkey Kong
  10. I sold a set of all copies for $50-60 and was happy. You're right...these are nostalgic for quite a few collectors out there.
  11. Correct. I just checked my copies. The regular version has low grade paper quality, but has the poster with Omega Red on it. The gatefold has higher quality glossy paper PLUS another page of Omega Red drawings with a note on him debuting in XM#4. The gatefold actually collects all of the posters from the other copies in to one. I think that is the copy to have although I think both will be sought after if Omega Red is rumored to be in any future movies…
  12. HA! Good point. Personally, I loved reading early Spawn and Valiant books at the time, but you're right...most of the stuff out at that time was pure money-grab garbage. It now sells for more than it should, but that doesn't mean it isn't just more expensive garbage.
  13. A lot of that "garbage" is now selling for ridiculous amounts of money these days. People drooling over ASM365...really? I tended to agree up until about 18 months ago when books like Youngblood #2 started selling for $200. One man's trash is now that same man's treasure...SMH...
  14. Does it matter? It's a 1st appearance of a character that hasn't shown up in the MCU...speculator's dream
  15. I like CA 1982-1991. To me, Image and a few other overprinted books started the "Modern" age and the beginning of the end/crash of the late 90's. I'd love to see something like this. COPPER AGE:1982-1991 "CHROMIUM" AGE: 1992-2002 (hinging around these...X-Men #1 - October 1991, Spawn #1 - May 1992, Death of Superman run in late 1992) Chromium/foil covers, a new #1 "limited edition" every week, publishers out the wazoo, everyone/everything had their own series, cards/action figures, the news hyping up Superman 75 as your next 401k...then CRASH MODERN AGE: 2003-present (Walking Dead #1)...felt like this is when the industry started dragging itself back in to relevance and this is an incredible one to hinge off of.
  16. I think these kinds of books are destined to be $50-100 CGC 9.8 slabs...The one X-Men #1 cover that I can see separating a bit is the Magneto cover that holds a poster with the 1st appearance of Omega Red. I can see the "1st appearance is a 1st appearance" crowd chasing that book if he shows up in a movie as a big bad...
