  1. The Titans movie looks like 2018's version of BATMAN FOREVER...
  2. I think Comic Vine has it right...https://comicvine.gamespot.com/warrior-nun-areala-1-gods-and-beasts/4000-139948/ Ninja High School #37 - 1st appearance of Father Sebastian Crowe (Magic Priest) Ninja High School #38 - 1st appearance of Lillith the Demon Princess Warrior Nun Areala #1 - 1st appearance of Warrior Nun Areala, Shotgun Mary, Mother Superion NOW I need to go get me a bunch of 1st appearances of "Sister Stiletto"!
  3. Very cool. Thanks for posting the pics. Yeh, I just don't see it. Seems like a reading comprehension fail to me that led to NHS #38 being consider the 1st appearance. I don't see Warrior Nun Areala in either of those books. If I'm reading it correctly, Mimi is the daughter...and she appears to gain powers in #38, but not Shannon.
  4. Awesome, thanks for posting! If that is the extent of the appearances, I think NINJA HIGH SCHOOL #37 should read "1st appearance of Magic Priest and Shannon (who becomes Warrior Nun Areala)"...just like the caption in the book above stated. Now I want to see NINJA HIGH SCHOOL #38. I think that's long been considered the 1st appearance. I'm curious if is just more Shannon panels.
  5. NOPE, not based on this pic. "NINJA HIGH SCHOOL no. 37 is the first appearance of Magic Priest and Shannon (who is to become Warrior Nun Areala)" That tells me NHS #37 is the 1st appearance of Shannon but not the 1st appearance of Warrior Nun Areala...does Shannon become WNA is NHS #38? or WNA #1? Link? I want to see the innards of the book. Anyone have a copy to snap some pics of NHS #37 and #38?
  6. Where did you read that it was 'cancelled'? On hold, maybe...but cancelled?
  7. Holy cow! Are these really going for this much...in this grade? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Thor-165-Vol-1-Super-High-Grade-1st-Full-Appearance-of-Him-Adam-Warlock-/202442588725?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l44720
  8. Sounds like a cool idea. I'm all for a HELLBOY and XENOZOIC TALES only sales thread! May save me some time digging...
  9. I'm interested as well. There are a few labels that I'd like to recommend making changes on but don't want to waste the time typing the reasoning out if this is a black hole.
  10. Highly recommend reading this one...or get the audio book. I LOVED this book. I appreciated the movie because of all of the easter eggs and 80's nostalgia, but the book is 100x better (as usual)
  11. I don't have a dog in the race either...but I hope she it HOT! I'm all for more "key" 80's/90's independents.
  12. I like the list, but the more D-level characters that you include, alla Night Nurse, Moondragon, etc., the more exponential the list becomes. Is New Gods #7 (1st Steppenwolf) really a "definitive Bronze Age Key"? If you want to just make a listing of all BA 1st appearance books, we can do that...but in my collection, not all 1st appearance books are "Keys". If we're doing that, I'd add these...a notation as to why they are "key" would be nice for any listing as well: · 2001 #8 (1st Machine Man) · All-Star Comics #58 (1st Power Girl) · All-Star Western #10 (1st Jonah Hex) · Amazing Adventures #11 (1st Beast w/ fur) · Amazing Spider-Man #101, 121, 122, 124 (1st Man-Wolf),129, 135, 136, 149, 194 · Astonishing Tales #25 (1st Deathlok) · Avengers #83, 93, 100, 112, 181, 196 · Avengers Annual #10 (1st Rogue) · Batman #232 (1st Ra's Al Gul) · Captain America #117 (1st Falcon - SA?), 180 (1st Nomad), 217 (1st Quasar) · Captain Marvel #25 · Cat #1 · Conan the Barbarian #1 (1st Conan), 23 (1st Red Sonja), 24 (1st full Red Sonja) · Daredevil #111 (1st Silver Samurai), 131 (1st Bullseye), 158 (Frank Miller begins), 168 (1st Elektra), 181 (Death Elektra) · DC Superstars #17 (1st Huntress) · Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu #19 (1st White Tiger) · Defenders #1 (1st Defenders) · Defenders #27 (1st Starhawk), 28 (1st full Starhawk) · Demon #1 (1st Entrigen) · Detective Comics #400 (1st Man-Bat), 474 (1st Deadshot) · Eternals #1 (1st Eternals) · Eternals #2 (1st Celestials) · Fantastic Four #112 (Hulk vs. Thing) · Fantasy Quarterly #1 (1st Elf Quest) · Fear #19 (1st Howard the Duck) · Firestorm #1 (1st Firestorm) · Forever People #1 (1st full Darkseid) · Ghost Rider #1 · Giant-Size Creatures #1 (1st Tigra) · Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1st new X-Men, Storm,, Nightcrawler, Colossus & Thunderbird., 2nd full Wolverine) · Hero For Hire #1 (1st Luke Cage) · Howard the Duck #1 · Incredible Hulk #141 (1st Doc Samson), 180 (1st Wolverine), 181 (1st full Wolverine) · Incredible Hulk Annual #6 (1st appearance of Paragon (later, becomes Her, Kismet & Ayesha)) · Iron Fist #1, 14 (1st Sabertooth) · Iron Man #54, 55 (1st Thanos and Drax), 128 · Jungle Action #6 (1st Kill Monger) · Kamandi #1 (1st Kamandi) · Marvel Feature #1 (1st Defenders) · Marvel Premiere #1 (1st Adam Warlock), 15 (1st Iron Fist), 47 (1st Scott Lang as Ant-Man) · Marvel Premiere #28 (1st Legion of Monsters) · Marvel Preview #4 (1st Star-Lord), 7 (1st Rocket Racoon) · Marvel Spotlight #2 (1st Werewolf by Night), 5 (1st Ghost Rider), 12, 32 (1st Spider-Woman) · Marvel Spotlight #6 (1st Star-Lord in comics) · Marvel Super-Heroes #18 (1st Guardians of the Galaxy) - SA?1969 and 25-cent cover? · Marvel Team-Up #1 · Marvel Team-Up #95 (1st Mockingbird) · Ms. Marvel #1, 16, 17, 18 · New Gods #1 (1st Orion),7 (1st Steppenwolf) · Night Nurse #1 (1st Night Nurse) · Nova #1 (1st Nova) · ROM #1 (1st ROM Space Knight) · Savage She-Hulk #1 (1st She-Hulk) · Shadow #1 (1st Shadow) · Special Marvel Edition #15 (1st Master of Kung-Fu) · Star Wars #1, 42 (1st Boba Fett in comics - Copper?) · Strange Tales #169 (1st Brother Voodoo), 180 (1st Gamora) · Sub-Mariner #34 (Defenders prelude), 35 (Defenders prelude) · Thor #193 (Silver Surfer app.), 225 (1st Firelord) · Tomb of Dracula #1, 10 (1st Blade) · Warlock #1 (1st In-Betweener, Thanos/Gamora origin) · Werewolf By Night #32 (1st Moon Knight) · X-Men #94, 101, 107 (1st Starjammers), 109, 120, 121, 129, 130 (1st Dazzler), 141
  13. I seem to remember that he did.... Regardless, this is one of the coolest modern age covers I've seen...especially if you read the story.
  14. Fun thread! Just went through all of the pages and don't recall seeing some of these favorites...
  15. Take it to the Bronze board or the other countless Hulk #180 vs. #181 threads... We are discussing much less important books here...
  16. Love it! My kids (and me) are going to love this. I'm OK with ##### because this is an animated film. Try and do that with live action and I'm out...
  17. I didn't read too far back...has anyone mentioned the rumors that Gaga fans are trashing the movie wherever they can to try and boost sales at Gaga's movie this weekend?
