  1. But that cover... Some are arguing that it's a "cameo"...whatever. Looks like a cool character although I don't recall seeing him in the Annihilation books.

  3. Jimmy Olsen #134...1st appearance on its face is pretty straight forward...the first time the character appears anywhere is, by definition, their first appearance. That doesn't alway equate to market desirability though. The "1st appearance" of Gambit is a prime example. Uncanny X-Men Annual #14 (July 1990) is Gambit's first appearance...he appears in over a dozen panels...but the market loves Uncanny X-Men #266 (August 1990). There are countless other examples.
  4. I like #419 here, 1st full appearance and cover. #418 is a cameo...and the market generally doesn't like cameos.
  5. and Quasar #32 (again), FF #65 (again) and Hulk #419
  6. HA! I just can't help but believe the next wave for Marvel movies is going to center around the Skrulls...likely the Secret Invasion storyline...and maybe the Annihilation storyline for the cosmic side.
  7. I think this one is about to start moving up...1st full appearance of Thalos...Captain Marvel main villain with pics that came out today. His cameo appearance is in Hulk #418 but first full appearance and cover is Hulk #419. Sounds like these are his only 2 appearances until he reappears in the Annihilation storyline....HMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm... It's a 1994 book, so depending on your definition of "Copper Age"...
  8. Aren't we all...? I've never listened to him. He sounds like a 13 year old Jim Henson Muppet...

  10. Anyone know a good source for reproduction covers...mainly GA and SA. I've had Fedoraman do quite a few for me...and now that I have another horde of coverless keys, I need to find some repro covers for them. Fedoraman seems to have fallen off the boards. Anyone know somebody else, another source, for quality reproduction covers?
  11. Like this breakdown a lot...I might argue on 1991's release of Valiant's Magnus: Robot Fighter #1 as the beginning of the "Modern Age" (I personally like Chromium Age better). For me, both Valiant and Image began the comic craze of the 90's before the crash...but Valiant came first.

  13. Exactly my thought. Seems like someone's political affiliation is getting in the way of seeing this as anything more than a sound business decision by Disney.
  14. That's interesting...seems like that would be something that is said in the prequel book.
  15. I'm assuming your LCS doesn't deal in back issues, only subscriptions for new books?!?
  16. Are all of the dealers setup on Friday? I want to go tomorrow but don't want to go if there are dealers that setup after hours on Friday for Sat/Sun.
  17. SO...AWESOME! I want to see the finished product with the books in the front...
