  1. I think Bedlam's first appearance is Factor X #1...not X-Factor #1...that's a cool list though.
  2. If you're talking raw copies, priced like raw copies, I'd add: Next Men #21 - 1st full color appearance of Hellboy Death Rattle #8 - 1st appearance of Xenozoic Tales Starslayer #2 - 1st appearance of The Rocketeer BLIP #1 - 1st appearance of Mario and Donkey Kong Marvel Spotlight #32 - 1st appearance of Spider-Woman Marvel Premiere #47 - 1st appearance of Scott Lang as Ant-Man DC Comics Presents #47 - 1st appearance of He-Man and Skeletor Adventures of Superman #500 - 1st appearance of Steel and Super-Boy (large print run, but 2 great characters' 1st appearance) There are many Valiant books that could take off if their movies are good.
  3. I didn't want to sift through the all of the mega-superhero Damian Wayne discussion...did anyone mention Thor #165. Once Warlock becomes a staple in the MCU Cosmic movie universe, this one will do what FF #52 did...although it's been slowly increasing for a few years now. I also like Superboy #68 to blow up if Bizarro ever makes a movie debut.
  4. MY Top 10 Artist: Frank Frazetta Wally Wood Dave Stevens Mark Schultz Neal Adams Alex Ross Jim Lee LB Cole Alex Schomburg Eric Powell
  5. Beautiful! What do you have holding the slabs up on the wall? Curious...
  6. I've read the first 3 books. I'll have to check out the trailer because I certainly didn't get "the occult" from the books....more of a Harry Potter-type vibe.
  7. I've used Desert Wind for signature series books in the past. I've done both, sent books in and met them in person with the books. I've been VERY pleased with the results. I've submitted both raw books and de-slabbed books and they all came back with the same grade or graded as I expected. Here are a few of the books I've had them get signed for me...
  8. Serious question....since these are mostly closed groups, is everything that is posted only visible to those in the group? I don't want my real friends know how big of a nerd I am...
  9. Yep, I loved watching those! Some good talent on the boards. This was my favorite cover that we did...
  10. LOL! Right?!? My last post on this topic, but since you called out the "one example"...a few other examples include: Morgan Freeman as Red in Shawshank Redemption (not Marvel) Idris Alba as Roland Deschain in The Dark Tower (again, not Marvel) Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four (really?) Laurence Fishburne as Perry White in Superman MOS Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent in Batman Idris Elba as Heimdall in Thor Jimmy Olsen in Supergirl TV show Halle Berry as Catwoman Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin in Daredevil Jamie Foxx as Electro in ASM2 Chiewetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo in Doctor Strange Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West in The Flash Anna Diop as Starfire in Teen Titans ANNIE Domino in Deadpool 2 Valkryie in Thor Ragnorak Etc., etc. etc..... Yeh, it's a thing and it's more prevalent than 'white-washing' these days...this isn't the 1950's anymore. I don't have a problem with alot of these actors/actresses...who doesn't love Idris and Morgan, but to completely ignore the fact that this isn't a thing in hollywood now, and in our society for that matter, is being selectively and intentionally obtuse. 12. The Epic Cadillacs and Dinosaurs series are color reprints of the Xenozoic Tales series with different covers...although they only reprinted #1-6
  13. Yeh, it was a decade ago, and the book is long gone...but at the time I was pretty pissed.
  14. OK, what are a few recommendations?!? I want to start off with a few good ones before I dive in...just found this post!
