I can't argue with this strategy. It just makes too much sense. I made the switch in mid to late 2000s when Marvel's Cinematic Universe took off and DC SA keys were dirt cheap in comparison. My problem was that I started selling them too soon when prices doubled instead of holding for a while longer. Yes. My Bat#121 has TRIPLED in price since I made the purchase. It's always difficult to time the peak of the market. Once I sell, I try not to look at market prices. I learned that lesson after selling my Walking Dead #1 at what I thought was close to the peak, only to see it double again.

I was on a selling spree in 2016...but mostly just my Marvel keys. This is the main reason I've held on to my DC keys like Bat#121, Action#242, Bat#181, Tec#359, etc...all have a lot of room to grow when compared to similar Marvel books...and they're harder to find. Now that DC is playing the movie game, these will all start to pick up steam and will shoot through the roof once these characters start showing up in post-credit scenes...alla. Thanos

Are you really only grading 1 book at a time though? There are economies of scale when you're sending books in for grading. Someone slabbed Atomik Mike #1. Do you think they understand something like economies of scale? too true...touché!

And a contender for the most worthless 9.8 steps up..... Trouble #1 (2003) Last 9.8 sale on GPA: $3 Last 9.8 sale prior to that... $5 Last 9.6 sale on GPA: $2 OH! But wait! Atomik Mike comes back swinging hard! Last 9.8 sale on GPA: $1 Isn't a slabbed 9.8 selling for a buck really like a -$32 comic??? Let's not sell this short! Negative 32 baby! How are you arriving at $32 for a slabbed modern? I'd call it a -$21

I'm going to a little lower. I think the creasing on #1 is pretty rampant. 3.5-4.0 I think the 6 is a little higher but is very dirty. 4.5-5.0

Agree. I'm curious how much rarer ST110 (1963) is than a book like Thor 165 (1966). A CGC 8.0 of ST110 could have been had for $2,000 five years ago. Now it's an $8,000 book...a 300% increase. Take a $350 price tag for a Thor 165 two years ago, with a similar 300% increase, and you've got a $1,000+ book. It's now a ~$350 book and has been for a while now...certainly some room to grow.
