  1. im on the list for 2 I'm sure Ryan is painting Gator's cover commissions with all due diligence. The thing collectors have to keep in mind is that Heshka has mainstream art commissions as well in the queue. His professional work is in high demand outside the comic collecting community. Yep! and rightfully so. I'm glad I got my 3 commissions in early. And super glad he's so dang busy!
  2. OK, it's been almost a year. Has anyone received a Heshka in 2016?
  3. These are two of my favorite that don't seem to get enough love... of course, anything Wrightson is right up near the top for me, along with Schomburg/XELA and Frazetta covers.
  4. Completely agree with both of these comments. I tend to discount 'great stories' in favor of 1st appearance books of key and semi-key characters. That's just where my collecting focus has been for the past 20 years. And Spawn #1 was the beginning of the Chromium Age in my book...
  5. Soon freaking cool! That behind the scene footage is awesome.
  6. Sorry my concrete jungle brother. This is prolly the silliest thing I've heard in a while dreck /drek/ noun informal noun: drek rubbish; trash. "this so-called art is pure dreck" One man's drek, another man's $167. I wouldn't call it "drek" now either...maybe 3 years ago, but not now. Have you guys lost your mind? Like... completely? If its printed in the 90s, First title's letter is X and its drawn by Liefeld - Its drek! The problem were having with the market today is that its soooooo easy to pump and dump books that with just very little effort you can sell drek to the masses CONVINCING them they have the next big key. Time and again we see books over inflate and then drop back to nothing. How many books did this happen to? 100?? 1000??? We REFUSE to learn because as today's soup de'jour is served to us, we are blinded and mesmerized by its scent and drop our next car payment bill on it thinking "this is the one that will stick"! X-Force #11 was is and always will be drek Spoken like an insufferable old geezer! Old man 'Lorder approves this message Clearly, X-Force 8 is where it's at now.

  8. $167.50 final gavel price...and it isn't even her 1st appearance...amazing. #8 is her 1st 'real' appearance.
  9. That's pretty sweet! Had no idea. Now I need to go check my other copies as well... Looks like I knocked out 3 of the variants with one swing! I'll need to check the condition closely when I get home. I may slab it or just sell it raw. Will be interesting to see how the market reacts...
  10. I was just going to post that. Great find! Sweet! Thanks for bringing that to my attention! I didn't even notice the differences in the newsstand copies
  11. Had a blast cherry-picking from the new dollar boxes at my LCS...
  12. Yep, saw that. Pretty sweet! The real question is, in the opening scene, why did the ship park so far away from the home. Kinda gave away the element of surprise don't you think? And I bet they were exhausted after their journey. They had to walk 2-miles to get to Mads Mikkelsen and the little girl.
  13. Wha?! Looks like a fallen Obi-Wan statue to me...
  14. Same for Batman? Batman should be at the top of the list. One way or another, he would find the means to take care of everyone else.......... I disagree with this.
  15. I'm feeling really fanboy about this one! Just bought my tickets last night! I've been watching the Sherlock series over the past few weeks, caught Star Trek Into Darkness on a plane last week and recently saw some footage of BC doing his motion capture acting as Smaug in the Hobbit films...all of which has me giddy about this film. Cumberbatch is one of my favorites.
  16. Now you have gone too far! So Wolverine elbows him and knocks him out. 60 seconds later he's jumping off the roof...hmmmm Definitely mishandling of the character. I would like to say it was due to proper development, where the character was at an early stage. But the actor was still interesting in the role. It was. It felt like a 2-panel comic cameo. I loved him in the role and wanted to see more...and what I saw felt forced.
  17. And they're out already?! I know what I'm doing for 60 minutes tonight...
  18. I am talking big special effect movies such as TMNT 2,GHOSTBUSTERS reboot,Independance Day 2,STAR TREK Beyond,THE BFG by Spielberg,Ben-Hur and Alice Through The Looking Glass. Billions were spent on these and all underperformed. What Valiant is doing is the new way to go. Adapt or die to new markets. By the time the others find out Valiant will be the clear leader in that market. Think of Marvel in 2008. Valiant 2016-2017 will be thought of as when they became mainstream big. Stock up on your Valiant keys now. I hope you're right. I have a lot of very cool nostalgic memories riding on them not #$%#@ this up!
