  1. To be honest, I don't remember. I had it in my notes at one time, but ... Decided to change it and changed the link to the owner's site. Decided to list venues by cost.
  2. I updated the section on Dealers a little and re-formatted it.
  3. Congrats on getting the real first appearance of a character that DC plans to make famous. I really enjoyed that sequence in Thor #4 as well. Sif's expression is priceless and it was a very clever use of her tools.
  4. Bored? I was so I made a video of my framed artwork. You can watch it here. It's a classic and likey to go viral. Oh, wait, I'm the one likely to go viral. There are two more on two of my themes: Arm Wrestling with Heroes Faux Sugar and Spike #100 Covers. Enjoy.
  5. I can recommend the book it was quite interesting.
  6. We are remodeling the house this year so I have taken a vow of abstainance from comic art except for gifts. [Got to conserve cash! Have to keep remembering that!] However, I have a few Kickstarters from the past whose perks included comic art. So, today, I have three new pieces that I did not buy this year! They are: Attu #1 page 10 by Sam Glanzman Red Range #1 page 18 by Sam Glanzman Thief of Sherwood #1 by Sam Glanzman Click to embiggen. Check them out.
  7. You are welcome. PM me and I'll send it as an email which is easier to keep track of click on the date of my post and save the link.
  8. @D2Do you have a copy of my write-up on pricing comic art? It might be helpful. PM me with your email address and I'll send it along. Or read it here:
  9. I know it's hopeless, yet, I return to the field of battle once again.
  10. FWIW, I wrote to ComicLink (buysell@comiclink.com) and explained the issue and asked for the size of the paper. They updated the listing. The sheet is 8.5x11.
  11. Mike's Amazing World of Comics has a feature that shows you to the top artists (pencils or inks), top penciller, and top inker. Top Penciller Mike's data is strong for Marvel and DC. Less so for Archie, Harvey, and Charlton, but it's interesting none the less.
  12. Nope, nor the taxes on those dividents or the capital gains as you rebalance your portfolio. It's just a finger in the wind.
  13. Per this inflation calculator, $2000 today has the same purchasing power as $416 in 1975, a.k.a., a few hundred bucks like Brian said. Interestingly, per this chart, the Dow in 1957 was about $4200 and it's about $20,000 today. I conclude from this that selling the art in 1975 and re-investing the proceeds in the market was a break even investment relative to holding the art at $400 a strip. Of course, this is hypothetical, but it seems that from 1975 to 2020, the Dow and inflation are similar.
  14. Re: DB 94 Looking at the Comic Artist Database on the CAF gives these artists with the initials DB: Dan Barry (137) Dan Berger (45) Dan Brereton (1207) Daniel Branca (50) Daniele Bigliardo (50) Danny Bulanadi (783) Darryl Banks (1288) Dave Berg (72) Dave Breger (12) Dave Bullock (204) david baldeon (481) David Bancroft (610) David BARAN (35) David Baron (23) David Beauchard (74) David Beck (119) David Boller (347) David Boswell (32) David Brewer (50) Dawn Brown (12) Deacon Black (266) Dell Barras (71) Den Beauvais (41) Denis Bodart (18) Diego Bernard (357) Dik Browne (122) Dino Battaglia (132) Dino BUSETT (58) Doug Beekman (148) Doug Braithwaite (345) Pretty sure it's not Dave Bullock; he usually signs "Bullock" and it's not really his style. Beyond that, click a link and see if they look similar. Good luck.
  15. I have a theme that features various artists doing faux covers for the non-existant Sugar and Spike #100. I've wanted Kyle to do one forever, but never got a response when I asked. I was a Patreon for awhile thinking that he might offer commissions on occassion. Sigh... it never happened. Someday!
  16. Walden is one of the nicest guys I've met. He's on Facebook, drop him a line. He'll answer.
