Sort of a YouTube channel / vblogging site. https://www.twitch.tv/
Jim runs a channel and will show his work and sell stuff. You can subscribe and maybe win things.

I'd like to go to this show. I sent my wife and 2 eldest daughters to Italy for college graduation trip and they fell in love with the location. I think that if this happens next year, we'll go.
That said, I wouldn't mind a piece of Jim Lee art; I really liked this Legion take in the Icons book, but $4K was/is too much for me. There's no way I would pay $15K for a commission when the published stuff is available for less or similar.
Of course, I'm not much of a Jim Lee art fan (I like the guy; I've met him a few times and he's great with fans) or that of his peers at Image so my POV may be out of alignment with the rest of the world.Good luck to those that go this route.

Still in 31-40 category for a few months.
I like to say I'm around 21. Yeah, it's the third time around 21, but still ...

E-man! Loved E-man. I need to keep my eyes open for a page.

Elfquest - While Wendy Pini's work isn't for everyone (what is), she's executed it for 40 years. That's pretty impressive. Because she kept almost all of her EQ work and donated it to Columbia University, it's scarce as hen's teeth.
and if you expand the era a bit Bone (1991) and Strangers in Paradise (1993) certainly fit. Like Wendy, Jeff Smith donated his Bone art (Ohio State in his case) so it's even harder to find since he didn't do a lot of commissions. -

Neither is attractive to me. The Batman is more visually interesting. So, I guess I'd pick it if I had to pick, but I'd let both pass assuming I had to keep them.

Just beautiful. I love Wrightson's art.

The Lawndale Art Center in Houston has opened a new exhibition featuring the original art (360 pages!) from mini-comics from Mexico.
I've been out of town for most of the time it's been open so I haven't been yet, but I intend to go in the next few weeks.

When I last asked, the answer was no, but if you get lucky, let me know, okay?

I certainly have no objection to his inking, but I really thought Tom Palmer and Alfredo Alcala were excellent. I know JB wasn't necessarily fond of AA, but I was.
I do think we'll see a response from @Brian Peck before too long. -

Is everyone still happy with the HP 7740? My old printer just died so this seems like the perfect opportunity. I currently scan using a Mustek A3 1200S, which is okay, but it doesn't fully scan to the edges.
It really is a super machine for the price.

You might also keep your eyes open for copies of three volumes of the Giant Size Fan Thing which are a "Best of ..." from the CFA-APA.

Wow! That's big.

I too would be happy to have Adams/Adams, Adams/Palmer, and Adams/Giordano pages. I'll agree that Adams/Adams was consistently excellent though those Adams/Palmer Avenger pages make my heart to pitter-patter.

Personal choice, obviously, but Neal and Giordano on the inking chores on Batman and Detective has always signaled the very peak of Adams' artistic career...for me at least.
The were a great team. My favorite Adams work though is with Palmer on the Avengers. I loved Batman and GL and Deadman (even more), but that Avenger's story was so good. Wish he'd finished it. Big John did a nice job and Palmer helped make it consistent, but it wasn't Adams.

The two best inkers on Adams' pencils were Neal and Giordano.
Hmmm.... I'd put Tom Palmer (see the Kree Skrull war in the Avengers) ahead of G and maybe ahead of Neal himself.

Wow, four new art postings in one week. That's a record for me, I think

This was one of my favorite books for 6 months and then it was cancelled. Happy to find a page. Sad that I didn't realize Howie was still alive when I started buying commissions.Kitty Ravencraft by Dan Parent -
Dan and Ferando Ruiz are best known for their work with Archie comics characters, but they've also created their own, Kitty Ravencraft. The items on this link are perks from the Kickstarter.2017 Christmas Card (but we are always late so it’s really our 2018 NY card) by Dan Parent -
Pretty self-explanatory. -
It's terrific.

I didn't even think to check and see if that page was available! Great get and in many ways the perfect ending to the series. I hope people keep reading it over the years.

Having said that, it's exactly the type of cover that modern comic readers (and art collectors) seem to covet--a representational one and done presentation of the character regardless of story content.
Which makes me kinda sad. I used to search the insides of comics for the scenes that inspired the covers. Of course, that was long before I had a clue that such a link might not exist.
I'm starting to hate commissions

For what it's worth, this isn't uncommon or recent.
I own a painted piece by Sheldon Moldoff done in his later years. He would draw a piece, lightbox ink it, and paint it. Each piece was painted differently. If you click on the image below, it will take you to my CAF where you can see the others.
My favorite piece was listed in the Heritage Auction as having been published in Eddy Zeno's Swan biography. It wasn't. Curt did this drawing at least twice.
Mine From the Zeno book
Very similar, but not the same.
I have no issues with my pieces having siblings, but it is much better to know that going into the deal.
