  1. I believe it is a little over 300. Soon to be adding one of mine to your collection too. Awesome books and story. Thanks for sharing. Those early Jumbo covers have some excellent drawing going on.
  2. Wow! Great cover and beautiful copy! Congrats! It is a great cover! Right before the horror started. Took me awhile to find a copy myself. Enjoy!
  3. Ghastly Ingels was the best! The only crime EC committed was cramming in too much text and not giving the artists more room to draw. You can read most EC stories and disregard the top text box. Over explaining if you ask me. Then again I am a big fan of wordless comics.
  4. I hope they really get the look of McQuarries artwork in the final show. That would rock! Of course I'll be there watching no matter what.... Love the Wars!!
  5. Sweet! Nice precodes and I love it when comics are told with just pictures. I still need to pick up that Chilling Tales. Thanks for sharing
  6. I find it hard to believe the fuss surrounding this book just because it featured on an album cover. Not that scarce and although it's a decent cover it wouldn't make my top 20. Maybe we should all petition Metallica to put the cover of Weird Mysteries 4 on their next album cover, and then watch the prices on that book get (even more) silly. I agree Andy. I've seen mid grades of COC go for much less. Must just be a supply thing and I've noticed PreCode horror seems kind of hot lately. I think the books that Craig Yoe has been publishing might have something to do with this.Have you seen these yet? They really are awesome collections. I've been meaning to bring them up here in this thread for awhile now. "Haunted Horror" is a bimonthly comic from IDW that has excellent reproductions of the best of PreCode horror. Their first issue featured the Misfits COC cover. This might be a reason for the surge of popularity.....
  7. ..... I remember that one...... white for sure and gloss like a new book. A very solid 8.5 .... GOD BLESS... -jimbo9( a friend of jesus) (thumbs u .... Nice book. Looks tired though. Maybe the trip from Florida caused it to lie down and take a nap.
  8. Wow. That is pretty. Books that come out on Wednesdays don't look this nice.
  9. Added a bunch more PreCode horror including a hard to find Atlas (Journey Into Unknown Worlds #15-Wolverotn Crabmen story): http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6721023#Post6721023
  10. I have a few Precode Horror books up in the GA sales thread. Right now I have two higher grade Frankensteins: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6721023#Post6721023
  11. Good luck on that one bud! There are three other MAJOR ones that need to end and one of them is woefully low at the moment.....
  12. I've only been able to get the Venus 19. It made my top cover list I compilied a couple years ago in the undead thread. Im still on the hunt for a Venus 17 and 18. I've come close, but I always seem to miss out on them. I also need a Cap America 74 and 75 for the PreCode collection.... Those are gonna be some tough books to get. And I miss Andy's site too! -Christian
  13. Great buyer! Nice transaction and paid quickly. Thanks!
  14. The GONE novels. Finished recently. There are 5 out right now and the sixth comes out next year. Wicked SciFi fantasy and super addictive! I'm hoping to read Memoirs Of An Invisible Man this summer.
  15. My oh my Ghost Town, that is one amazing sight. Probably the finest run I've seen of these early classic books. Well done sir and thanks for sharing!
  16. Nice books! You'd be hard pressed to find ASM moderns at my LCS shop in those super high grades. I just re-read ASM 121-125 tonight. Getting ready to read my way through until #350. Shoud be a good summer of Spideys! Of course 121-122 is classic but I really liked that two part ManWolf story (124-125). Some really nice art in there. I also love the continueing storylines that will eventually pay off.
  17. I read my way and completed 1-126. Seemed like a good issue to stop at with a cover recreation of issue one. That was a few years ago. Recently, a buddy of mine had some duplicates from his collection and gave me about 70 issues, including most of the Byrne run. I think sometime in the next year, I'll pick it up again and continue reading through until issue 300. Then I'll see what happens. I'm doing the same thing with ASM. The only series I've read from the beginning and still read the new issues as they are released today in the modern age is Daredevil.
  18. Yeah, good point. Any more Web Of Evils or Ken Shannon's coming up?
  19. Maybe theyre diggin up King Tut? Love the drawing on this cover. ACE books are so undervalued, of course not in this hornets nest of collectors.
  20. for Corgi . Thanks Scrooge! Or as my iPad spell check wants to call you, "Screwdriver".
