Picked up a four-book lot on eBay, they showed up today - the #4 2nd print was the obvious reason I wanted it, happy to finally own this book!

Man, that #4 2nd printing cover makes me super nostalgic. My first exposure to Mirage TMNT was a poster of that artwork (as a 10-year old, I added pupils to their eyes because I thought their blankness a mistake). I also thought their red bandanas were a mistake. I still have that poster.

  2. Interesting to hear a take from a Swiss native. I visited the German part of Switzerland in 2019 and noticed there was very little comic (and pop culture in general) prevalence there compared to the US. I visited a comic shop (in Winterthur, maybe). There seemed to be a large presence of Disney ducks, Marsupilami and Schlumpfe, with some superhero sprinkled in. I don't remember seeing many back issues.

It's crazy how Turtles has exploded just in the last few years.  You could get Eastman early art for $1000 a few years ago.  High Grade first prints were under $5,000.

Yeah, at the time of selling that cover, I sold some Adventures interior pages as well, around $30 - 50 each. Hard to imagine now, but $100 seemed good for the cover at that time.

    Wow! I love that one!

Do you mind letting me know what you let it go for?

I'm a bit embarrassed to say, just under $100. Sold it on Ebay in the early 2000s, probably at the lowest point of the TMNT's popularity. I picked it up from Chris Allan himself at a con in '94 (he had quite a bit of covers for sale at that time, wish I'd picked up more). Unfortunately, I haven't seen this one since selling it and have no clue where it's at today.

    Hi guys!

Would any of you have any TMNT Adventures covers for sale? I'm collecting the run right now and all the covers got me feeling nostalgic reading them as a kid, and I'd love to have a OA cover. Not looking for any one in particular.

    Thank you! 🥳🐢🧀

Wish I could help.. I used to own this one but it's long gone :sorry:. Good luck!

Something I’ve never seen before. Can’t say I’d have much interest but the signature is sort of justified since the TMNT 1 cover is a direct homage to Miller’s “Ronin”. His signature almost looks like a Turtle head sketch.

  7. I once owned a coverless copy with a reproduction cover (purchased as a bonafide first print). However, thanks to these boards I found out that the interior was actually that of a 3rd printing. I'd tread very carefully with this listing..as I'd imagine anyone would.

Now you have the rare opportunity to display them all together somehow! Or print them onto tees ;) (I'm kidding really don't print them on to tees!)

 I plan to keep them all intact. If I were to display them, it would have to be in a way to prevent sun / light damage. It sure would be a cool display. Maybe down the road.

Very cool.  This is quite an accomplishment - the four Turtles and Fugitoid are very tough to find, especially in great shape like the ones you found.

Not everyone realizes there are two different sets of these (1984 & 1986) so that makes this all the more special.  Congrats!

Thanks! I acquired my first one in 1998, so completing it was a looong journey. I wasn't too picky about condition, but lucked out on many of them in that respect. The '86 Mike was framed on someone's wall for decades, so it's a bit faded, and the Fugitoid has some foxing or something near the bottom. Otherwise all are in pretty nice shape considering they're pushing 40.

I always joke around with Dee that I'm just going to give her a pile of cash to let me rummage around in their basement for a half hour and keep whatever I carry out.  A huge chunk of my rare stuff comes from them.

Man, how cool would that be? A few of my other ones originated from them as well. They’re a huge reason I was even able to complete this set.
