  1. Just incredible, congrats! I bet you couldn't hit that BIN fast enough.
  2. All I could find online is that Laird posted the issues in their entirety (I think) on his blog in 2010 and 2014: http://peterlairdstmntblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/tmnt-volume-4-31.html http://peterlairdstmntblog.blogspot.com/2014/05/tmnt-volume-4-32-digital-edition.html
  3. Just checked my files, thought for sure I'd have them, but I only have #29 and #30 as digital files. Good luck!
  4. There was still an original Turtles pinball machine at a rest area on my way to Chicago from Cleveland a few years back. I wonder if it's still there.
  5. Finally got around to taking a photo of my complete set of Dark Horse TMNT Miniatures in all packaging variations. There are only 13 unique sets (14 if you include the original set, which had a different Leonardo sculpt), but a total of 24 packaging variations. Individually, they aren't very hard to track down. But finding them all took a few years.
  6. Nice! I actually have a soft spot for that book as it was my first exposure to Mirage TMNT when I was a kid. Goofy story and an awesome cover. What's not to love?
  7. I started reading ASM digitally this week and I'm on issue 4. I've collected the book for 30 years, but read them out of order as I acquired them. Neat to read them in order and see the characters develop. Much more convenient and safer than reading the originals.
  8. I agree. I owned that page for nearly 20 years. One of the high points in my collection for a long time! I initially won it for $100 in an Ebay auction in the early 2000s. I'm really not sure how many there are of the Russian Fugitoid.. but I've never seen it except for this copy. However I'm in the USA so they wouldn't exactly be on the newsstand here.
  9. Yep, that was me! Wish I still had it now.. Not sure where it went. That’s a pretty great Triceraton page you have.
  10. Fugitoid appreciation post! He's a pretty underrated awesome character in my opinion. Here are some of my favorite Fugitoid items from my collection (#5 OA page (gone, unfortunately), 1985 iron-on, Russian Fugitoid #1). Alas, Gobbledygook has always eluded me.
  11. That #7 art is from the first print story. How exciting to find at an estate sale!
  12. Sad to see them go even though they haven’t published comics in years. For its original namesake, being named “Mirage” because of the fact they weren’t an “actual” studio.. 37 years is a good run. I suspect any of their remaining stock will go for sale on Eastman’s site.
  13. My old gross copy, owned for like 20 years. I still love the low grades on this one.
  14. Thanks! Yep, blank inside and out. Pretty cool variant. Hey bud, glad to see you're still around too! I've been laying low with collecting the past couple of years. But I can't seem to stay away from the boards
  15. I only had 2-6, but sold them a couple of years ago
  16. I think the ads gave the impression that they're pretty small, but they're about the length and width of a TMNT #1. This image of my #1 collection from a few years ago shows the relation of the books to the size of the iron-on (top right). I keep them in the same magazine-sized sleeves I keep the early comics in.
  17. I actually was only six years old in 1984 and had no idea what TMNT was until 1987. But I acquired this envelope from another collector who had found it on Ebay along with the full set of seven 1984 iron-ons it was shipped with. Unfortunately the iron-ons didn't come with our deal. But I imagine this is how they shipped most things at the time! Eastman and Laird would have called you nuts if you told them their comic would be worth so much one day.
  18. For what it's worth, I have this old 1984 mailing envelope from Mirage. It was used to ship the iron-ons. It's just a standard manila envelope, no bubbles. Maybe a similar thing was used for the comics?
  19. Getting this cool double cover Groo signed was memorable. The guys got a real kick out of it. They triple-signed it and each had their own way to sign each cover and title page. Unfortunately I only have the front cover scanned and I'm too lazy to dig it out atm. I had the TMNT 1 (3rd printing) signed by Peter Laird at Comicfest '93 in Philly. At the time, he said "wow, I've never signed one of these before. Is this a first printing?" Which is weird, because they signed many #1s before 1993. I think he meant he hadn't signed any of them on the front cover. 21 years later, I met Kevin Eastman at a Dayton, OH con and asked him to add his signature in the same color as Laird's. I had the Spider-man 13 signed by McFarlane at the '93 Comicfest as well. Went back to Philly in '94 to add Stan's signature. He signed it small in Spider-man's eye and said of Todd's large signature "Does this mean he has a bigger ego than me?" I know they became good friends later, but it's funny to remember that quip.
  20. Finally we can watch season 3 again. Hope they included the missing DVD episodes "Alone Together" and "Mole Men".
  21. I agree. I also love the shading techniques used on these old Mirage pages. Here's a better image (scan) of that page. I won it on clink in 2017.
  22. Thanks! It's still one of the top pieces in my OA collection.
