  1. I'd have to take the Cap #1, but I'm not rational when it comes to that comic!
  2. Must be nice! A lay out like that would be irresistable to my critters, 2 or 4 legged.
  3. All I want to know is how he kept kids and cats from tromping them while they were all laid out like that!
  4. Whoa. That Cap #1 looks great! Pretty, but not so perfect that it doesn't have a well-aged gravitas to it. I'm envious!
  5. Thanks for the love, Brother. Hail the King!
  6. I think I'd go with the 53. I've drooled over that cover for decades!
  7. Oh, you're going to have to tell us more than that!
  8. Not nearly as good as yours! Gotta love those big logo books!
  9. Posted in the Detective thread, but I get so few chances...
  10. Just got it today from Heritage and I'm pumped!
  11. Gimme that 'Tec 19. Suspense 3 doesn't do it for me at all. I remember a guy at a Kansas City con shopping around a breifcase full of them.
  12. I likes 'em all, but that Mass. ASM 33 is a real head turner. Worth whatever you paid, I have no doubt!
  13. Reed needed to counter-act the cosmic radiation in Sue's system, so he needed a cosmic control device of somekind. Annihilus' Cosmic Control Rod fit the bill, so the FF swiped it. Stories like this one are one of the things that make the FF so great. They don't just react to a villain, they go looking for trouble!
  14. I'm unusual in that I have a single favorite comic; FF annual 6. I read it as a reprint at the perfect age, and it's got it all for me. Beyond that, fav stories include the Skrull "gangster world" run from 90 to 93, the "cosmic Doom" story, the Galactus Trilogy of course, and Ol' Benjy's beat down on Doom in FF 40. Truth be told, though, I can honestly say that I love 'em all. Even Tomazooma and The Monocle.
  15. What was Stan's deal with Things Walking Like Men? For a stretch there in the early 60s, he could not conceive of anything more horrifing than strolling.
  16. What are you talking about? A scarce, 1966 Marvel in 9.8 with white pages? How can you say tha... Ah, you're right. It don't float my boat, either.
  17. Some nice FFs in the current Heritage sunday auction. Thrill bids are in!
  18. Gotta love those Hogarth Tarzan covers! Gotta love auctions, too. I just scored a long-sought after Dectective #64 in the Heritage Sunday. Kirby kid gangs... (thumbs u
  19. Green Lantern is a Hall of Famer, but Superman is a legend.
