  1. My McFarlane submission (2 books) was received by CCS around 9/23 and eventually moved to Scheduled for Grading 11/1. Just looked and saw it's now marked as G/E/I. I thought mine didn't make the NYCC batch. Maybe it did? Does CCS typically press before or after a book is signed?
  2. Yeah, I know are understandably delayed. But thanks for the info!
  3. Earlier in the year CGC indicated the "opening packages the week of..." dates on your turnaround/prices page. Seeing as how it's been backed up from the cons lately, any chance of bringing that back? (I do have a submission I sent that arrived at CGC a couple of weeks ago...just trying to get an idea of when it would be put into the system and subsequently trying to figure out when to send in my next submission or hold off.)
  4. What I thought too, but I think OP was wanting CGC to suggest which comics to submit for grading based on values (at least I think that's how I understood it). I suppose prescreening a grade technically could achieve the goal, though?
  5. Haven't used it myself and to add on to @toro's note, I think if you set up an account with FedEx, you can have your packages forwarded to a nearby FedEx location (e.g., a local Walgreens or Kinkos/FedEx), so allegedly, despite where CGC sends it to, your package would go to the designated FedEx location.
  6. I suppose CGC could “protect” themselves by refusing to grade any raw copies. On a side note, it’d be kinda funny if someone took it to another company to grade as a “rare” version.
  7. Didn't they say there would be no raw copies and any outside of the 300 graded would be destroyed? Death of Superman 30th Anniversary GOLD Ultra Rare, Silver Foil, And 1:25 Foil | eBay
  8. If I'm not mistaken, if you set it up as an auction, you can either add the Buy It Now option or Accept Offers option, but not both.
  9. When you fill out the online form, there’s an option to input the book info if it’s not in their database.
  10. It looks like you can still get those spidey variants raw, unlike the gold superman variant that was only sold as limited number graded exclusives…
  11. The signing cards are just the cut-outs that you print out (I think at the bottom of the invoice that you submit) and you're supposed to have it with each comic that you submit. Not sure what happens with slabs (may call CGC or ask the ASK CGC thread). As for the window bags, a few have asked and found that CGC will provide the bag if you are submitting a slab that they have to crack. Otherwise, when you submit non-slabbed books for a signature event, you have to put the comic in a window bag.
  12. Did you mean the carrier tracking show received? If so then it sometimes takes them a bit for CGC to actually open and log the submission into their system. I actually called about my shipment that arrived earlier this week and they said they're catching up from being out for NYCC, so it may be a couple of weeks before it gets logged in... If you mean your submission has disappeared from CGC's tracking system, might want to call customer service or ask the Ask CGC forum. I believe up until recently, active submissions past 8 months didn't show up on the tracking list. But the tracking system was recently updated.
  13. What's the current turnaround to input into your system once a submission is received? (My recent fast track submission was received by CGC on Monday and still waiting to be logged)
  14. But aren't those Crain issues just facsimiles, so the interior is still McFarlane's work?
  15. At the bottom of the packing slip (might be the second page?) are some cut-out boxes with the submission info that you cut out for each comic you submit for the signing. Those are the signing cards that you put in the bag with the comic (on the back between the board and bag) faced outward so they can see it.
  16. If I remember correctly, when you fill out the online submission form there’s an option to select the address to ship to (different from the billing address). In fact, I think some dealers do this (submit books for customers). edit: just confirmed on the form that it does ask where you want it shipped (if different from your own address).
  17. you have a close up of the title page and inside cover? trying to see what's on it
  18. Mike in another post mentioned that the servers are down because of Ian...

    Any day now?

Seems to be some issues as a result of the storm...
  20. I sent in a couple books early last week and it was received and logged in the system ("received at CSS") late in the week.
  21. I think someone asked a similar question (see below). It sounds like they do provide one unless you want a specific spot that you want signed:
  22. I know comic pressing as been a thing for a while, but was curious of when CGC started to offer CCS Pressing as part of their services. Anyone know or remember?
