  1. oh oh that's the next million-dollar idea: slab grading and encapsulation. CGCGCGC Who's with me?
  2. I sold something non-comic related and buyer canceled maybe 30 mins after paying with the reason of "Order placed by mistake." I relisted the item and was tempted to call them out in my listing (i.e., "relisting this because buyer [insert name] canceled after winning the auction"). Maybe a little petty if I did that. I really should just block them and move on. Just venting out loud I suppose...thanks for listening. Carry on.
  3. Not sure how LLCs and insurance work, but can you have insurance for an LLC that was dissolved (I think someone pointed out his LLC dissolved in the other thread?)
  4. They usually charge once they input your submission into the system (typically "scheduled for grading" status), so it can be a few weeks after the submission actually arrives at CGC. If you have any credits, they'll apply it then as well. If you are also having them press the books, they charge for pressing and grading separately (pressing charge when it's scheduled for pressing and then grading charge when it's scheduled for grading).
  5. It was a print on ebay: SUPERMAN: Better Than Ever PRINT Stopping a Train DC 1993 | eBay
  6. Hmm yours has his 90s mullet, but this one doesn't (saw it on ebay):
  7. Should just fill out the form, pack it up, and ship it to them. They charge you when they get it and put it into the system for reholdering. There is a chance they regrade it and it comes back with a lower grade. I think the ReHolder option is under the Regular Grading Submission selection.
  8. Really up to you if you want to ship to another address other than what's registered on their account, but it could be a set up for a scam...
  9. In my experience, yes, unless they've changed it.
  10. Recently bought some books that were securely shipped and accurately graded. Will definitey buy from again. Thanks!
  11. Do they still have this option or did they bring it back?
  12. Always great deals from John. Books packed safely and secure. Thanks!
  13. I believe it has to be a single minimum grade for the whole submission since there isn't an option to set it for each book. I suppose you could break it out into multiple submissions but then you'd have to pay the separate return shipping and processing for each submission.
  14. If anything like that gold superman cover incident, then I think the scuffs are likely on the slab itself and not the book. If you go to the QC subtopic, there have been a lot of previous discussions/complaints about the scuffing and newton rings:
  15. Is the scuffing on the actual comic or the inside of the plastic slab itself?
  16. Can try to contact CGC and show them pics to see if they'll offer a reholder service which may or may not solve the issue (been hit or miss for folks). But you have 14 days from when you received the book back to make the claim.
  17. The "liquid halo effect" sounds like newton rings (see below). Seeing your cover with what looks a foil cover reminded me of the exclusively graded gold foil Superman from late last year that was horrible with newton rings and interior scuffing. While nothing has been confirmed (or admitted), some suspect they have been trying to minimize newton rings by scuffing the inside of the slab or applying something on the interior slab that results in the smudging and scuffing (not sure if any of that is true).
  18. In my experience, they apply the credit after they receive the submission and put it into the system (when they typically charge your card). Not sure about the $20 for the shipping. Or are you referring to the voucher for the shipping kit that new members can get? In which case, that's just the kit you can order not for shipping fees of a submission. But as others have suggested, can always contact them for clarificaiton.
  19. It's back on with a starting bid of $1599: 🔥🔥 Rare teenage mutant ninja turtles 1 Counterfeit TMNT 1 🔥🔥 | eBay
  20. On an unrelated side note, wildcat looks really constipated...
