  1. Basically, part of the fees that you pay for CGC's service goes toward insuring the book while in their possession, so if something happens to the book while in CGC's possession, it's covered. Higher-value books cost more to insure, thus, higher fees to grade (in a nutshell). (Insurance while it's shipped to CGC is separate, usually covered by the shipper.)
  2. Seems not to have any effect on the grade. Previous discussions here:
  3. "Unfortunately, counterfeit – and, relatedly, tampered – products have become an issue that many companies and consumers now face. Bad actors seek illegitimate profits by creating knockoffs of well-known, trusted and valuable brands. CGC is one of these targets, and we will take aggressive action to combat counterfeiters and other fraudsters, including through lawsuits, security enhancements and awareness campaigns. We cannot, however, provide compensation to people who purchase counterfeit or tampered products. This would, in effect, render the counterfeit or tampered products as valuable as the real deal, despite CGC having absolutely no involvement in their production." On a side note, doesn't CGC grade and slab counterfeit comics (e.g., counterfeit TMNT books)? While they do label it as such, doesn't it essentially "legitimize" that market?
  4. Great deal on some books. Shipped safely and arrived securely. Thanks!
  5. Just looking at the stated interior dimensions (15.2"x7.1"x11"), doesn't seem like the width would fit GA books.
  6. Have we forgotten President Thomas J. Whitmore?
  7. There’s a “want to buy” forum but you have to have a minimum numbr of posts before it’s unlocked (I forget what the number is). https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/50-comics-market-want-to-buy/
  8. Another great sale on some cool books. Thanks!
