It almost sounds like they have blocked you.  If this is the case they won't see the PM you sent them through eBay either.

Unfortuately, that would mean they would charge you a full grading fee instead of just a nominal reholdering fee.  But I agree with you, it needs to be done, at least until they find a way to permanently stamp an identifier on the inner well.

I just noticed that the seller in question has made their eBay feedback private.  This just happened within the past hour.  You can no longer see what that recent negative comment said.

Are the bid restractions also from the (316) bidder?  If so, that greatly increases the odds that there is shill bidding going on.

That's just the name of his eBay store.  You can name your eBay store something different than your eBay ID.

About ten years ago, I slept in my car outside of New England comics to get first crack at a big collection they bought. I ended up getting my copy of X-Men 1 that day. 

I also waited outside the store and chatted for several hours with Bechara Maalouf. For those not familiar with him,  he's a well known original art dealer.  

I bought my super low grade ASM #1 from him.

There is no option to "BIN" it on eBay, although a price of $2,910 is listed in the description.  Apparently you need to contact direct to purchase.  No surprise this seller has a feedback of 15 with numerous pages of items listed.

 

 

 

An obvious scammer.  All of his listings seem to be gone now except for the railroad caboose.

Here's a message I received through eBay yesterday.  I suppose this happens occasionally, buyers trying to circumvent the system by offering to purchase items outside of eBay.  It feels kind of skeezy, not to mention risky.  Any kind of buyer/seller protection goes out the window.  I'm trying to decide if it's block-worthy, or if I should just ignore it and move on.  Thoughts?

Also, can someone interpret the "Friday the thirteenth" part for me?

p.s.  The user has been on eBay for over 10 years and has a feedback rating in the hundreds.
