I bought a new camera for the Long Beach Con coming up and I was just playing with it so I took some shots with it in my comic room. This room was just extra storage that was part of the garage when the house was built , two kids and 15 years later I needed more space so I closed the area in a put a door in. My man cave
Couple of cover recreation
Keepers , Peanuts and Junk Boxs
Packing and Processing area with my small stand alone A/C unit I love that thing
My wife wouldn't let me sheet rock the window over so I have it blacked out

run this number in the certification look up 1042260008 no hit yet there is a picture of it on Pedigree in a CGC holder This is not about that youtube videoI'd be very surprised if CGC eats a 5-6k book.Wouldn't be the first time.
There's a thread around here somewhere where a 3rd print TMNT 1 was mislabeled and sold as a 9.8 1st print.
Ha ha this always comes up. That was PGX and may have been some sort of scam.

Payed extremely quick and was easy to hash out a deal with for a X-men 1. I hope you enjoy the book.

had to quote this one because I couldn't fill in the double spoon Wow don't think that was really called for.The definition of Gold/Silver/Bronze is getting murkier...http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7275106&nt=2&fpart=1
ok now we are at the point of absurdity. I know the whole few books is ok wink wink but c'mon he's listed a modern book from 2013 in there now. that's too far. this is clearly a mixed thread that should be moved there.
oh well now it's getting ugly
Read the rules before you postLooks like Arch is going to be getting ready for umpiring at Spring Training early this year.

Silence rules the day as sellers are reluctant to rock the boat because getting their money is more important than exposing the buyer.
It takes the sparkle out of a deal when the buyer bounces the check, and you learn that it's a story which is being repeatedly told.

Me too it does throw a glare on the top or bottom also HP doesn't have a windows 8 driver for this model so it took me a little bit of work to get my working on my new computer also make sure your usb cable is shorter then 10 feet my would not work with a 10+ foot cordHi everyone,I just had a good read of this thread last night and thanks to everyone's comments and inputs and opinions, I decided to source the 8250 off eBay. I have an older printer/scanner but when I dusted it off to try to scan some stuff on the weekend, I realized the surface wasn't even big enough to get an entire CGC slab, plus the scan turned out HORRIBLE.
So thanks all and hopefully I'll be able to contribute some images in the new year.
Congrats! IMHO, the 8250/8300 series never fails to disappoint... (thumbs u
Still working on taking out the light glare when scanning slabs on mine, to obtain a more colorful, presentable image...

Sorry to see those numbers for shipping WOW. But keep in mind there are people from all parts of the world on the boards and if you made a statement and locked yourself into a fixed shipping price for everyone then ouch if not then these numbers shouldn't really be a problem as the buyer would be covering a large bulk of it. Plus if he filed a paypal complaint it is to protect himself if he hasn't received the books yet and it's close to a month time is running out on him also. Sorry to see this happening but there's still a chance this could all work it's way out.

Was it part of this sale where you offered free shipping to board members? If so you need to be careful with that boardies are everywhere.

My wife got the word out some time ago that I collect comics. She has spies out for me everywhere a lot of the ladies she works with loves to go to yard sales. Whenever one of them comes across comics they give her a call. Most of the time it's just beat up 90's marvels but sometimes not so bad. These are the General Electric comics funny thing there is almost two sets one with staples and one without. If any one knows anything about them I would appreciate any info. Think they are early 50's
Oh and I picked up some moderns too
