No, I am saying using "cameo" as a verbal shortcut for "1st appearance in cameo" confuses people. It is not widely understood. So far we had two people in this comic book thread define the dictionary version of cameo. None of the grading companies use or say the shortcut incorrectly in their labels.

I know you understand. By saying "CAMEO" and not "1st appearance in Cameo" you are changing the meaning. You are right. Batman can still have a cameo appearance in other books. However, Batman can no longer have a "1st appearance in cameo".

In most cases after the 1st appearance in Cameo, in the 1st full appearance issue the writer/editor will have the character's name in bold black. After the 1st appearance or 1st full appearance issue, the character who is being intruduced name will no longer be in bold black. This is why Batman 657 should be 1st full appearance.

Both of you are editing out key words which makes it confusing to most people. It's "1st appearance in cameo" NOT "cameo". Those are two different types of appearances. You both are shortcuting my words, cgc, cbcs, and overstreet words.

That's great for you. However, Overstreet, CBCS and CGC use how many times the character's face appears. Many miss that detail. At the time of publish,a character in the shadows is still unknown character. Also in most cases after a shadow cameo/brief appearance, the character's name will be in Bold in the full appearance issue.

Precident in the past Shadows alone don't count as full appearances in comics.

If Amazing Spider-man 299 is 1st appearance in cameo of Venom with more panels, this should be 2nd Cameo appearance not 1st full. Damian's name is not revealed until Batman 657 which should be the 1st full appearance.

Since Todd signed over half of these 1500 print run Gold variants at SDCC, wouldn't that make those all he signed at best graded by CGC Green Label? I noticed the Black and White Spawn 1 Variant has 928 Universal and Signature Series. At most, there can be only 750 unsigned copies of the Gold Spawn 1 Variant that can be converted to signature series or universal. Wouldn't these unsigned sketch Gold variants be more rare and valuable in the future?

The Bendis without the Special label have shipped. The one Bendis with the special label is stuck on SFG. Both were pressed both started SFG on the same day.

When did your book arrive at CGC? Remember book arrived qlow less than two weeks after the announced signing. So he was one of the first to get done. My book arrive March 3/3 and was marked received 3/14. My book is still labeled as Received by CCS.
