  1. Actually the ENTIRE PURPOSE of the book is to be a preview of Avatar's upcoming books over the next year. That is the very reason they published that book and the subsequent Avatar Illustrated issues. So I'm afraid you might be trying to split hairs, Bobby. Yeah, I remember all your calls about this book. And catch21 has been spot on with his points. And Nick, I didn't mean that the Priest/Lazlo conversation was different from what was printed in the Goon #1, but merely pointing out that there are two pages worth of dialogue between the two characters and musing if that is enough to count as a first appearance.
  2. Just wanted to throw out some kudos for all my recent customers: seanfingh fastballspecial Taz007 mschmidt cujobyte Dawgwindu followtheleader comicjunkie kain Junkenstein99 Thanks for the purchases, guys! All of your books are either delivered or currently en route. (thumbs u
  3. Ah, but the one-page preview has two pages worth of dialogue between the Zombie Priest and Lazlo. Which leads one to the question: exactly how many pages/dialogue/appearance time is needed before CGC will recognize a first appearance? And why is Darker Image #1 still not noted as Maxx's first appearance? (Sorry, we were already on the subject. )
  4. Don't worry. I'm not dumb enough to bid on it.
  5. Still just waiting for that first fast-tracked 9.8 to show up on eBay. It'll be a feeding frenzy.
  6. Don't be greedy, Gav. Hey J, you can ship Gav's copies to me.
  7. You know, they need to change the designation on the label. If nothing else, Avatar Illustrated '98 HAS to at least be the first appearance of the Zombie Priest and Lazlo. It has a two-page spread from Goon #1 that is nothing but the two characters conversing.
  8. Just not good enough to follow through on their purchases and commitments...
  9. I know that's right. Or for vastly undergrading a book?
  10. Ah, but the Nashville variant wasn't distributed to 100 different store owners who promptly put them all up on eBay like the DH100 variant. The Nashville variant is MUCH harder to come by and I'll tell you something else: of the 1000 printed, I would say half or fewer are currently out in public hands.
  11. There are no words to combat the stupidity of what you think this post will accomplish. No one gives two sh**s if you train horses. Still an excuse-laden scammer? But a scammer that trains horses! Oh, well that's different. There's a Wizard of Oz joke in there somewhere, just begging to come out. C Was TFL after someone's ruby slippers?

  13. My LCS only ordered one copy. Luckily, I got it, but it's not the best-looking copy. If anyone has some sweet-looking dupes, I'll make it worth your while.
  14. And I'm just waiting on Goon's showdown with Murderface. I'm assuming the brutality will be chart-topping.
  15. Actually, the covers will be 50/50. I don't believe either is a limited variant. blob: Goon #31 & 32 came out in February and March, respectively. (And I have copies of the #32 DH100 variant for sale. And I could probably rustle up a regular 32 as well. I'd have to check the LCS for a 31. Let me know if you're interested. )
  16. I remember these sales threads and thought that the seller was a bit disorganized. Hope you get the book now. I would be more miffed that I jumped on the bandwagon early and paid more at the first sale than I could have at the second...
  17. As Tony Montana would say: "All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break them for no one."
