And this one's for Ed. Ed, you mentioned that you're still looking for Terry-Toons # 50 with the first Heckle & Jeckle. Did you know that their debut was announced in All-Surprise # 12?
Here's the copy I picked up today and a scan of the full page ad featuring H & J -
Nice books, have these characters always been Marvel characters? Even when the cartoons were out?
-
Oh God I have not seen those now defunct Fortress cases in a while.... You still have them in there? And Rick.... do you have any doubles?
no double actions... (get it, double actions )
-
A somewhat recent pickup of my own. Wondering if I should send it to cgc...

here are a few "classic" superman books (although, superman doesn't appear on the cover of one of them)
And by the way,I agree that they are both awesome and classic. 2 is a great cover! O'Mealia is awesome. His art was so ahead of his time.

Personally, I never liked too many war covers, with a few exceptions. A lot of Timelys turn me off because of the same WW2 cover theme over and over again.

Got the point , although I dont really like the covers to the Superman run with the exceptions of #s 1- 5 and 8.

I mean come on Actions 13 17 and 20 ? They should be.. but I guess they cant call every cover a classic cover
-
Oh and thanks....

Good Luck!
I am wondering why some of these early covers are not considered classic in Overstreet....
-
Now I need to fill the hole..... with the 19
-
Who cares anyway, I love this cover

Thanks. If it werent for the bottom left spine what do you think the grade would be?

just buy single issues of tec 1-26...problem solved! So we might never be able to read the pre-hero stuff then.... thats too bad. What were they thinking. All those cool Tec stories from 1-26 will never be available then.- how much should I charge DC?
They will be at your feet.

Just came in today (finally)

Marvel on the other hand is reprinting everything. Cant wait till they get to Mystic , Young allies and some other forgotten titles like Blond Phantom....
But DC , they have so many titles to cover from the 1930s alone
-
Well, Im waiting for the GA Sandman Volume 2 to come out still.... whats taking DC so long to come out with it ?
-
And when will we see the Dr. Occult DC Archives volume already ?
-
The pre-hero issues of TEC 1-26 have been in re-prints? I did not know that. I always looked for the Archives to have a pre-hero hard volume.
-
When will Dc reprint these early Tecs so we can read the stories?
-
Maybe sometime next year... Ben

Just came in, they hit it really hard because of a piece out from the back cover (unfair I think) and the cover being detached ....Still happy though! Front looks like a vg- I think. Got it SS because the Destroyer is Stan's creation!
