well, here are two of my favorite Action covers (especially the 20- probably the best Action cover along with the 13)

True about the Cap 61, I had a vg copy once, they are more common. The 3 and 16 are not around often. There was a 3 on ebay recently but I think it was missing a centerfold...and I saw a 16 some months ago...but thats it. 3 and 16 are much harder to get than a 1.

People always keep the Skull covers. Anytime I did sell a Cap book, this issue was the last in mind. So I agree that its scarce on the market.

Oh yes , that 3 is a true classic! Going to put this one on the want list.

Nice cover. Will have to look into some of those later issues.....some of them are great.

Now if someone can help me find out how many (or which) issues the Skull appeared in the Timely years..........at this point I know he appeared on 6 covers in total. Now how many stories was he featured in back then ?

Looks like a 2.5/3.0 to me John...perhaps some interior page defects dropped the grade?

Yea Ben, the centerfold is almost detached and some slight pieces out (does not affect the story nor art though) Should had been at least a 2.5 (It got hit hard for that) but its ok, still happy to have a Skull cover!

Another question that I am anxious to know the answer to........

Ok here is one of my favorites (sorry about the bad pic- have to figure a way to stop that glare)

 

Yannis, take the book out of the bag, lay the book upright somewhere with some good light above it and then keep changing the position of the light and yourself till there is no glare from the light source. It takes good lighting to bring out the colors. Take a shot of the book straight on with the camera level and point at the center of the book. Should make for a decent shot.

Funny enough, I was going for a 2.0 one (the Tec) on ebay a while back, lost and was annoyed for days about that one. Then lucky enough one came up for sale from someone and I jumped on it. Would maybe consider moving it only for a Tec 35, 37 or Action 13.

Sadly, I no longer have this...........

and now I have the 4 on my want list again...........................for some reason 2 is out there, but the 4 I have had a very difficult time

Love that cover for 41- Bats without a smile.

I am going to have to get this issue one day. The best (my opinion) cover of the whole Superman series! Would love to have all the early Shuster covers.
