The ''anthology'' titles (TTA, TOS, JIM, ST) are also a good place to mine for lesser known keys and early appearances. Lotta good (and not so good) villains in those titles.

Looks like you're a fan of the FF, lots of good comics in the 1-100 run. FF48-49 would be an obvious pick, high demand but also high volume. Doom and Namor books are really moving. Warlock, Inhumans, Ronan, Agatha Harkness, tons of crossover stories. Definitely a good place to start looking for investable stuff.

Unfortunately 5k doesn’t get you much in terms of quality SA Marvel keys anymore… maybe a mid to low grade B level key?… like a ST 110 and even that is inching towards unattainability… I'm still bullish on JIM annual 1 which is probably the last SA Marvel key with very little hype.

At least if there was a dip in prices, I'd probably buy another copy but it just keeps chugging along, no ups no downs of any significance...

At this point the book has been flat for so long that I'm just gonna hang on to my copy until something substantial materializes in the form of TV or movie... Let Marvel have these last 2-3 decades, DC's day is coming

My comment was solely for top of the line SA Marvel keys. It’s sorta like the whole « expected value » thing in trading cards where a sealed box is worth many multiples the value of the individual cards. Lesser keys are affected by movies and TV but blue chip 5-6-7 digit books are not affected by such things, they live in the rarified air that only select individuals can play. If I’m wrong, fine, I’m just a random guy on the internet so who cares? 😂

My comment was more towards the disconnect between movies and top of the line blue chip SA Marvel books. I just don’t think a movie per se will make any of these books ''double in value''. I can see it for BA stuff like Moon Knight, Ghost Rider etc those are speculation driven with no track record in pop culture. But FF1 Hulk 1 AF15 XM1 are proven performers and movies or not they will keep performing. I’m glad the MCU exists and all but the direct correlation to comic prices is wearing thin for me…

At this point in comic collecting history, have people not realized how the game is played? Who is actually waiting for a movie to buy this book at inflated hype prices?... Why would a movie (of which there have been many already) make any difference in how this particular book performs in the future?...

A key is a key, not everyone can afford a 9.8 for 600$, there are buyers at every level, if some people can only pay 200$ for an ASM 361 in 9.0 then why poopoo it? Most people like Carnage, but most people don’t have 600$ lying around… Now a 4.5 Logan’s Run #1, that’s a different story…

Announcing a price hike right after the « ALL CLEAR » announcement didn’t help matters… And now they’re swamped again with a 3 week backlog just opening boxes 🙄

My April sub has survived 2 price hikes and counting... if they keep moving the goal posts, it might make it past 3 even
