  1. Well that didn't work, I feel terrible I don't see what the big deal is to just click a check box after the fact, but oh well, sorry Mr. Perez
  2. The market for these cards was so stagnant for so long since the early 00's that I had completely given up on them ever having any real value... it's quite the resurgence! Good on you guys for keeping up! I'm glad I kept what I still have but man do I regret selling my Lotus and other power 9 pieces...
  3. Early to mid 80's in my part of Canada was all GI Joe and Transformers, on TV, toys and comics.
  4. This one was not a bad result either! https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/cartoon-character/walt-disney-s-comics-and-stories-1-dell-1940-cgc-fn-60-off-white-to-white-pages/a/7266-95106.s?ic2=mytracked-lotspage-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyTrackedLots-101116 A few more Barks’ end over the weekend also. Curious what the results will be.
  5. I sent in an already graded book (Astonishing Tales 25) but assumed the custom label was included, didn't know I had to check something ... Can I call in to ask that they add it or is too late once they have the book already? It's also my first time doing a Sig event
  6. At this point, I consider CGC as an extra closet to store my books...
  7. Holy moly was not expecting that hammer price… Guess I’ll forget about that registry set…
  8. No clue, our guy walks the aisles smoking everybody while the priest is talking.
  9. I love that this is now the Thor Appreciation Thread
  10. Why would the reprints affect the price of the originals? Action 1 has been reprinted 10,000 times... I'm 47, have my own business, no kids, my era of comics was the 80s and junk 90s, I grew up with GI Joe, Transformers, and Marvel & DC superheroes. But as I grew older my tastes changed, I still love that but my appreciation for what came before turned into a fascination and now a passion. I never read a GA book in my youth and now somehow I have an extensive collection of them. These characters are timeless and their early appearances will be cherished for generations, that's my opinion anyway.
  11. I don't know guys... I was a Disney fan long before I discovered these books, I'm the perfect storm of Disney consumer: Annual pass, Vacation Club, D23, shareholder, you name it, I'm a member of it and I live in Canada! I hadn't even read a Barks book until 2017... Now I'm spending thousands a month to amass every nice looking (and not so nice looking) copy I come across... I can't be the only one, there must be thousands of people/collectors like me (I hope...)
  12. My submission has now survived 2 price hikes
  13. I'm mostly glad that what is being sold is going to strong handed collectors and not flippers, chances are if you skipped something, you won't see it again for many years. Took 3 years for a WDCS #1 that didn't look like used toilet paper to go up for auction...
  14. That's odd, my 4/17 CCS Value was charged in November which gave me hope but it still hasn't reappeared
  15. Honestly one of the reasons I migrated to Barks and Disney collecting is that I was sick of the hype driven market of super hero books. I bought most of my higher grade keys 3-4 years ago cuz they were pretty much a dead market relative to other comic book niches and considered it an opportunity. But I really hope those same drivers have not discovered our little piece of the comic world… I’m out the second someone on YouTube starts hyping a live action Donald Duck movie staring Leonardo DiCaprio 😂
  16. Recent prices for Marvel Family 1 tend to point to hype that can go that far back...
  17. So my Value CCS from 4/17 just fell off my submission screen (8 months), I'm assuming it reappears if it ever reaches CGC this decade?... first time I'm seeing this...
  18. Super strong price for GL 59 9.6 on ComicLink tonight. 7300$.
  19. Anyone in the same boat as me? Value CCS in progress since 4/17...
