  1. As the world’s foremost Hercules collector () it’s time to start his own appreciation thread. He has had many iterations throughout the centuries but his most enjoyable incarnation for me has been the Marvel one. So here is what I have managed to amass over the decades in chronological order (Silver age only).

OK..... Here's a Silver lining to these Slow Economy comics taking so long.

This Tec 400 was selling for around $400 when I submitted.  The last one that sold went for $750.

CGC helped me out by taking so long!

Same thing with a VF GL 59 I submitted back in early 2021, was a 2-300$ book at the time and has ballooned to near 1000$, thanks CGC (thumbsu

If this is the case, does it counsel in favor of pursuing golden/early silver age books now, since presumably (maybe I’m wrong) there can’t be nearly as big of a glut of newly-slabbed books of that vintage about to hit the market, as compared to late silver, bronze, copper, modern, etc.?

Well Economy tier (pre 1975) just restarted grading and shipping, so if anything the glut of slabs will be in that age range. Modern slabs have been shipping quite regularly in the 2 month range for a while.

  4. Greed took a hold of me and I decided to send my 1st gen old label 9.0 Journey Into Mystery Annual 1 to get the Walkthrough CCS treatment. I added the screening option which I've never used but was wondering, if it passes the screen does it mean it'll get a grade bump? It definitely needs a clean...

    Anyway it was delivered today:

WK CCS screen + Grade + custon label.

    Delivered 4/26

I started to get a little hint of that 'burned out' feeling a few months ago. Instead of getting out, I decided to try something a little different ... ok, a lot different. I've been a collector since the '70s and never, ever bought a romance comic. So when I started to feel tired of this whole thing, I started buying/reading some of that Bronze Age romance stuff. I won't lie ... it's a real change. I'll never stop adding spandex to the collection, but now I can have all that and also learn how to keep my man.

All kidding aside, it sure is nice to have a large list of 'wants' again.

Did the same, only I went the way of old Carl Barks Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge books, it’s totally reignited my collector spark.
