  1. I loved it too. Very hard work in the middle section - emotionally challenging. The best movies challenge you on an emotional level (think Deer Hunter/Taxi Driver). this is different to to those two films of course but it hit me on an emotion level just the same.
  2. I loved Blakes 7. I bought all the DVD's a few years back but haven't watched them for fear of disappointment. I have Blakes 7 on Video, not bad actually if you can take the fashion of the day. Space 1999 is great also but the outfits are so bad. You still have a video player?
  3. e=Bane]Seeing as I watched Batman Begins the other night I thought I would do a "Virgin" cover recreation of Ra's Al Ghul Year One. (thumbs u
  4. It is hard to watch but i suppose you have to take it for what it is. As a kid watching the repeats on a Saturday morning in the Seventies it was very exciting. As was the Planet of the Apes series.
  5. Time and distance do strange things. Haven't watched B&R or BF since release so i shouldn't really comment. I think TDKR will be considered an epic and will be appreciated more in the future. Amazing film but still too early to take it all in - needs a second viewing.
  6. (thumbs u Gonna send yerself some Marvel goodness then?
  7. Well I watched The Dark Knight last night and its still brilliant. Booked tickets for tomorrow night - even the wife is excited to see it except she came in and said she can't go Friday. So im going with the boy tomorrow and wife next week.
  8. It's my book and it isn't pressed Nice one Ewan. Do you have any scans?
  9. Baby is not asleep - looking for loose chance down the sofa - baby food money spent on comics (we've all been there )
  10. "I'd've got away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids"
  11. Leeds Mart at the Griffin hotel on Boar Lane in 1986 didn't miss one for the next four years. They were great and well attended.
  12. I really thought Skyrack first opened in the 60s? I thought it might be a frontrunner for the title of earliest comic book store here. Yeah you're right Paul. I was saying Odyssey opened up in the Eighties. Ron had been there a long time though. Does anyone know/remember the Comic Shack in Leytonstone? Bought mail order from them aand when I sold my collection he rang me and was really helpful. They have a site still but it doesn't look like its been updated for years.
  13. Kevin the shop you mean in Leeds - SKYRACK -was a stall in the Merrion indoor market. Ran by a nice guy called Ron. He would save new releases and discount them 5 pence each. He must have been there since the mid seventies I think. My friend Henry has some of his catalogue still. I thin EwanUK remembers it. We also had Odyssey7 in Leeds from, I think, about 1984. FP swallowed that too. Before that in Middles rough there was a seedy shop Borough Rd that had comics and a stall on the market in Stockton where I bought my first comic Power Man 23
  14. Yeah and they are well placed too. Excellent stuff.
  15. Halo 4 trailer gave my a funny trouser lump Hernia?
  16. Anyone see the Spidey and Dark Knight advertising during the match last night? Like our very own super bowl. Enjoying this tournament so far.
  17. Enjoy the mart lads. Make sure you get back in time for the foot ie.
  18. It's great Paul. Not XOOM 2 but the first one. Don't know why. These things were not marketed better.
  19. Motorola XOOM with 32gb card wi-fi cost me total of £360. Not restricted to tunes, full flash websites, and significantly slower enough to cause a problem. This tab is the best there is.
  20. Looking forward to Prometheus but not as much as a new Blade Runner that he said is definitely gonna happen Gary and Garry great work
