  1. 5.5 I think the stain on the back cover BLHC is a water stain, and can't be cleaned. This is not a book that can easily be graded with photos so it doesn't surprise me that the grades are all over the map. Great book regardless.
  2. 9.4 w/clean and press 9.6 The stain is a factory defect, and the small bindery tear in the red square on the back cover is also a factory defect, neither of these should effect the grade. Nice book
  3. Came across this while moving. Pleasant surprise! The book lies perfectly flat with no visible defects. I can post more pics later but here are my high res photos to start. Thanks for any input
  4. I think they might be referring to the "staple tear" on the bottom staple, which is common on this book. I believe it is a production flaw same as the "grabber tear" on the back, bottom in the red square "New From" area. Beautiful copies and conragtulations!
  5. Have to admit, I did miss the "oil blotch", I wasn't sure whether it was on my screen at first or on the book. Having a second look, I can agree there is what appears to be an "oil blotch". So I retract what I said previously and agree with Lpgk. However I have seen 9.8's with as many spine tics, but the stain might be the killer here! Good eye! Cheers!
  6. Not sure what I'm missing here, that book screams 9.4 even with the spine tics IMHO! Unless there are some hidden/unknown defects? Very nice! Press to 9.6-9.8?
