  1. 9.0 This book would benefit from a clean and press
  2. 9.2 The corners appear very soft but a nice looking book
  3. So, apparently you can still get a 9.8 with the "staple tear" according to the offering at Heritage Auctions (see the link below) https://comics.ha.com/itm/modern-age-1980-present-/the-amazing-spider-man-361-newsstand-edition-marvel-1992-cgc-nm-mt-98-white-pages/a/7246-96568.s?ic4=ListView-Thumbnail-071515# There's still hope!
  4. I purchased this book off the shelf when it was originally published. It's been stored ever since and has traveled with me from Southern Ontario to the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. I am noticing the huge interest in this book of late and I am considering getting it certified. The book lies perfectly flat with no creases, dents, bumps or blemishes. It has the "standard" printing/manufacturing error on the lower back of the cover (the "gripper tear" in the red box) and though the lower staple is tight it appears to have slightly "enlarged holes". My question is, how or if either of these "manufacturing defects" would effect the grade? Thanks for your thoughts and consideration.
  5. That line is part of the manufacturing process and as long as it doesn't break colour I am certain pressing the book will not be required and likely won't do anything to improve your grade.
