  1. Thanks for the report about the Alex Toth book. I have some credit with Amazon and I've been considering purchasing that book or one of the following. The Life & Art of Mort Meskin, Flash Gordon and Jungle Jim Anyone have an opinion about the Meskin or Flash Gordon books? I love the Flash Gordon/Jungle Jim book. it's great having them in such a large format and I've neve read the Jungle Jim strip before so that's new territory.
  2. Let's do another four-pager for Sunday. The Funnies 38 (January1940)
  3. Comics-and-ERB posted the cover for 35 earlier in the thread, but for those who haven't seen them, here are the other three. Maybe BZ or Comics-and-ERB can post the Fast Action Story as I don't have it. He also appeared in a little vignette on 42---another panel swipe.
  4. Sure - let's see it. Ditto! That's a great book.
  5. Yeah, looks like he made that giant rat his prison b-itch.
  6. No, these are scans of the full pages from the comics. I did have to do a lot of cleaning up in photoshop. By old papers, do you mean the John Carter newspaper strip? Sorry just dug them out. No John Carter. Mainly Disney, Flash Gordon, Jungle Jim, the Phantom, Prince Valiant. These would take a HUGE scanner to get them in one shot! Mine are newspaper strips, I thought at first thats where yours were scanned from! Nope these are from the Funnies comic book series and predate the JC newspaper strip by a couple of years. John Coleman Burroughs also did the newspaper strip but it was only in a handful of papers and pages are tough to find.
