  1. That was the Church copy and it's a beaut. In the the eight years I've been carefully tracking this book, the only other copy better than this VG on was a FN copy the Dentist was selling on ebay about 5 years ago. I was the underbidder and that was one of my biggest "I should have MANNED UP" moments.
  2. After the seeing the LOOK Magazine thread in General yesterday I thought I'd put my copy up and see if there is any interest. $5 shipping in the US; international shipping (including Canada) will have to be calculated. First unconditional in the thread or by PM wins. LOOK Magazine (Feb 27, 1940) Superman vs. Hitler & Stalin strip by Siegel & Shuster, nearly two years before Pearl Harbor---an amazing piece of history. Rita Hayworth cover. Oversize. Staples secure, nice pages; general wear all over w/ discoloration on right edge of fc. GD --- $95 $85
  3. This is a double post from the Cigar thread, but I'm really excited and know some of the regulars in this thread will appreciate this book.
  4. Picked up an incredibly rare book that usually only shows up in very low grade---when it shows up at all.
  5. Talk about a tough book. It took me four years to find a Good copy. Now after another four I've finally been able to upgrade. Thanks Adam!
  6. Great books! I forgot about those Kline stories and I have 3 of the 4 Bucanneers/Port of Peril issues. Since they fit the theme of the thread:
  7. It's the only one I know of too. Five of the six issues made the cover. Swords of Mars got 3 or 4 out of six I think. Return of Tarzan got 3 out of 5 or 6 in New Story. I don't remember rings on the moons in the stories, but it's been years since I read them. Edit: The Blue Book covers are by Lawrence Herndon, btw.
  8. The problem, from what I understand, is that the newest scanners don't have the depth of field that the older scanners do and so they focus on the plastic of the slab that toughes the glass rather than the book that's actually a few millimeters above the glass.
  9. Heh... you are by no means alone in this, man. Very few people can top cheetah! I can't top cheetah, but I can throw up some stuff you don't see everyday.
