  1. The books are named on the list, whether fraud or not, CGC should cover all costs to maintain their image and credibility.
  2. CGC tracks submissions by name, address, and serial numbers, so I am sure the list is probably accurate.
  3. I have an ASM 300 in an older case. I refuse to submit for reholder as the tabs/reinforcement sleeves that keep the book secure have gone awol by CGC. Books are known to move around with too much play.
  4. Of someone submitted a book and it wasn’t on the list, the terms have to say they are responsible for any fees.
  5. That’s what I am thinking. Assuming some of these may have been the perps personal books that were sold off, who knows though.
  6. Where would the original go? You need to be an authorized CGC SS witness to resub an SS to retain.
  7. The signature series books are making me scratch my head, what would you do with those? You can’t resub without getting a witness? Unless they were an authorized CGC witness, which I doubt?
  8. I don’t actually know for sure, but a recent ME for me ended that way. Maybe they will change the process for this incident, not sure.
  9. Why would one keep a stack of 9.8 raws? If you can swap lower grade books into 9.8s for reholder, then sub the 9.8s that are legit as new submissions it’s double profit time!
  10. CGC won’t buy back your 9.8s, they will crack, review, then send them back to you if they retain 9.8. If not a 9.8, then they will ask for you to keep the lower grade book and accept the price difference. as for all those 194s in 9.8, half are still 9.8 in theory as he/she swapped books, then resubbed those 9.8s for double profit.
  11. So your saying don’t buy the Larson Cap #1 CGC 9.8, just buy any ole copy of Cap 1, maybe it is restored, maybe not? Take a gamble? I buy the book at its grade ‘cause that’s what I am looking for. The back story, the grade, and knowing it’s not restored.
  12. So was it a good thing CGC started the imaging process otherwise this wouldn’t have been caught? I still think that there needs to be imaging archives for each book in case of a reholder @CGC Mike
  13. Seal the label with the book inside the inner well together. Which I thought was done, but never cared to find out. I guess I was wrong for thinking it was.
