Yes some of the alternate covers were great - also thought the slightly bigger format black and white/restricted colour interiors gave greater clarity to the artwork.

Brings back good memories.
My first ever comic age 5. I remember persuading my mum to buy it for me.
Then it was first comic I bought on eBay which started me collecting comics again after nearly 30 years. I got a mint copy with the mask and felt like a wee boy again.
I remember the teacher at school was amazed at my knowledge of Norse mythology when we were doing a project on vikings. All thanks to the Mighty Thor which was SMCW back up story.

I have a slabbed golden age comic which notes "centrefold detached" on label.
Can anyone tell me the grading points that would be deducted for this defect?
No other visible flaws and graded 6.5.
Just wondering if had been attached whether grade would have been 8.0 or 8.5 or whatever.

Astounding. Without any announcement all listings lumped into one category American Comics.
I see that if you choose genre e.g. "superheroes" then you can drill down to golden age, silver age etc by way of "more refinements". No way of browsing all genres of any age.
Killed it for me.

Great memories. I never liked asking for anything as a kid but will always remember persuading my mum to buy me SMCW #1 my first comic!
