This collection is really a great find. I thought the line art on this one looked like Wally Wood's work, so I checked the GCD, and sure enough. I see that there's also an 8 page story of his inside.

Very neatly lettered too. I think the OO probably wanted to be able to put his/her comics in order without having to look at the indicia!

Well, there are a few age spots but it's a nice one. Finding these non-glossy paper cover Australian books in grade isn't easy! Have a look at the D.184 I posted in this gallery - that one is mint.

It caught my eye when one sold for a really solid price at Heritage earlier this year. Then this one popped up at a very reasonable price... no brainer.

This issue is just before Tom and Jerry took over the title from the Our Gang characters. 37 and 38 both had T&J characters and 39 was the last, with a transitional cover to the T&J title. https://www.comics.org/issue/6258/cover/4/

Yeah, I like it too. Though I'm not sure exactly what's going on in that picture. It looks like the warship is alongside the U-boat, engaging with small arms and hand thrown explosives. A bow on ramming would be more realistic.

Can that be right? Basketball is a popular game and I'd expect that to be reflected on comics. But now you mention it... I can think of baseball and football GA covers but...
